    Modelling and Segmenting the Future Value of Cruise Tourists: Empirical Study of China Mainland, Hong Kong, and Taiwan

    自20世纪80年代以来,现代邮轮旅游作为一种休闲度假方式,已经成为欧美国家中产阶级出游的重要选择之一。深入了解中国邮轮旅游者的特点并进行市场细分,有助于推动中国邮轮旅游市场开发。本研究根据顾客终身价值理论,测算了邮轮旅游者的未来价值,并通过探索性因子分析和验证性因子分析研究了邮轮旅游者的消费偏好,建立了邮轮旅游者未来价值评估模型。基于中国大陆、香港和台湾邮轮旅游者的相关数据,通过AMOS21.0对邮轮旅游者未来价值模型进行了检验,发现了对邮轮旅游者未来价值有显著影响的因素;通过R13.0软件进一步对显著影响邮轮旅游者未来价值的因素进行了潜类分析,识别出了未来价值较高的邮轮旅游市场,进而为有效地市场开发提供依据。Abstract: Since the 1980s, modem cruise, as a leisure vacation, has become one of the most popular options for middle-class in Europe and North America. According to the theory of customer lifespan value, our research estimated the future value of cruise tourists, and upgraded the previous research scale of foreign cruise tourists' preference by exploratory factors analysis and confirmatory factors analysis, in order to build the model of cruise tourists' future value. Based on the dataset of cruise tourists from China mainland, Hong Kong, and Taiwan, the measurement model of cruise tourists' future value was tested through structural equa- tion modelling in program of AMOS21.0. Ultimately, our study found some significant impact factors of cruise tourists' future value and applied the empirical result into cruise market segmentation, using of R13.0 to do latent cluster analysis of the significant determinants of cruise tourists' future value, in order to recog- nize the most valuable segment and efficient marketing strategy.Specific results show that the cruise tourism income level, revisit frequency, the route length, consume preference for infrastructure and recreational facilities have a significant positive impact on the future value of cruise tourists.     Forecasting Future Instance Segmentation with Learned Optical Flow and Warping

    For an autonomous vehicle it is essential to observe the ongoing dynamics of a scene and consequently predict imminent future scenarios to ensure safety to itself and others. This can be done using different sensors and modalities. In this paper we investigate the usage of optical flow for predicting future semantic segmentations. To do so we propose a model that forecasts flow fields autoregressively. Such predictions are then used to guide the inference of a learned warping function that moves instance segmentations on to future frames. Results on the Cityscapes dataset demonstrate the effectiveness of optical-flow methods.Comment: Paper published as Poster at ICIAP2

    DeepIPCv2: LiDAR-powered Robust Environmental Perception and Navigational Control for Autonomous Vehicle

    We present DeepIPCv2, an autonomous driving model that perceives the environment using a LiDAR sensor for more robust drivability, especially when driving under poor illumination conditions. DeepIPCv2 takes a set of LiDAR point clouds for its main perception input. As point clouds are not affected by illumination changes, they can provide a clear observation of the surroundings no matter what the condition is. This results in a better scene understanding and stable features provided by the perception module to support the controller module in estimating navigational control properly. To evaluate its performance, we conduct several tests by deploying the model to predict a set of driving records and perform real automated driving under three different conditions. We also conduct ablation and comparative studies with some recent models to justify its performance. Based on the experimental results, DeepIPCv2 shows a robust performance by achieving the best drivability in all conditions. Codes are available at https://github.com/oskarnatan/DeepIPCv

The efficiency of heating, ventilation and cooling operations in a home are improved when they are controlled by a system that takes into account an accurate forecast of temperature in the house. Temperature forecasts are informed by data from sensors that report on activities and conditions in and around the home. Using publicly available data, we apply linear models based on LASSO regression and our recently developled MIDFEL LASSO regression. These models take into account the past 24 hours of the sensors\u27 data. We have previously identified the most influential sensors in a forecast over the next 48 hours. In this paper, we compute 48 separate one-hour forecast and for each hour we identify the sensors that are most influential. This improves forecast accuracy and reveals which sensors are most valuable to install
