Aplicaciones para mejorar el acceso, la organización y la difusión del conocimiento

The main objetive of this project is to supoprt and promote the scialization of scientific and academic knowledge. The project aims to encourage both integration and education through the research and development in the ICT area in order to boost and simplify the access to the public Univeristy production. All achievements will be directly applied into UNLP Institutional Repository (SeDiCI) and will be devoted to: offer an intelligent search and browse mechanism including query interpretation, results sorting and similar references addition; allow content access to people with visual impairment; develop new techniques for exernal repositories data collection; and finally evaluate and optimize meta-search tools. Many indicator such as visitors, users’ searches, results, number of documents and downloads will be used to analize the effect of each new addition.El proyecto tiene como objetivo promover la socialización del conocimiento científico- académico con fines educativos y de integración, mediante la investigación y desarrollo en el área de las Tecnologías de la información y las comunicaciones (TICs) para potenciar y simplificar el acceso a la producción intelectual de la Universidad pública. Los resultados alcanzados serán aplicados en el Repositorio Institucional de la UNLP (SeDiCI) y estarán dedicados a: brindar un mecanismo de búsqueda y exploración de contenidos inteligente mediante la interpretación de consultas, la priorización de resultados y la incorporación de referencias secundarias; permitir el acceso a los contenidos a personas con deficiencias visuales; desarrollar nuevas técnicas de recolección desde repositorios externos; y evaluar y optimizar herramientas para metabúsquedas.
