    Get PDF
Audio data hiding is the process of embedding information into an audio signal so that the embedded information is inseparable from it and imperceptible to the listener. Information hiding is a multi- disciplinary area that combines signal processing with cryptography, communication theory, coding theory, information theory and the theory of human auditory and visual systems where information is hided within a host signal. A data hiding system should be robust, meaning that the embedded data could be decoded from the combined signal, even if it is distorted or attacked. This paper examines information hiding in speech signals. A perceptual modelbased information hiding in speech signal is developed

Robust high-capacity audio watermarking based on FFT amplitude modification

    Get PDF
This paper proposes a novel robust audio watermarking algorithm to embed data and extract it in a bit-exact manner based on changing the magnitudes of the FFT spectrum. The key point is selecting a frequency band for embedding based on the comparison between the original and the MP3 compressed/decompressed signal and on a suitable scaling factor. The experimental results show that the method has a very high capacity (about 5 kbps), without significant perceptual distortion (ODG about -0.25) and provides robustness against common audio signal processing such as added noise, filtering and MPEG compression (MP3). Furthermore, the proposed method has a larger capacity (number of embedded bits to number of host bits rate) than recent image data hiding methods

A novel steganography approach for audio files

We present a novel robust and secure steganography technique to hide images into audio files aiming at increasing the carrier medium capacity. The audio files are in the standard WAV format, which is based on the LSB algorithm while images are compressed by the GMPR technique which is based on the Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT) and high frequency minimization encoding algorithm. The method involves compression-encryption of an image file by the GMPR technique followed by hiding it into audio data by appropriate bit substitution. The maximum number of bits without significant effect on audio signal for LSB audio steganography is 6 LSBs. The encrypted image bits are hidden into variable and multiple LSB layers in the proposed method. Experimental results from observed listening tests show that there is no significant difference between the stego audio reconstructed from the novel technique and the original signal. A performance evaluation has been carried out according to quality measurement criteria of Signal-to-Noise Ratio (SNR) and Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio (PSNR)

Video Steganography is a technique in which we can hide all types of files with any extension into a carrying Video file. In this dissertation, we are using two main terminology that is host file and carrier file where host file is a hidden file (any kind of file like text file, image file, and audio/video file) and carrier file must be a video file. The main motivation of this dissertation is to secure transferring of data by using steganography and cryptography technique. It is concerned with embedding information in an innocuous cover media in a secure and robust manner. In this dissertation we are using Forbidden Zone Data Hiding technique where no alteration is required in host signal range during data hiding process. To securely transferring the data file, we use video data hiding and making use of correction capacity of repeat accumulate code with superiority of forbidden zone data hiding. Using this approach we can also hide and transfer the large video file whose size is larger than cover file in secure manner. The main advantage of using video file in hiding information is the added security against of the third party or unintended receiver due to the relative complexity of video compared to image and audio file

A Framework for Multimedia Data Hiding (Security)

With the proliferation of multimedia data such as images, audio, and video, robust digital watermarking and data hiding techniques are needed for copyright protection, copy control, annotation, and authentication. While many techniques have been proposed for digital color and grayscale images, not all of them can be directly applied to binary document images. The difficulty lies in the fact that changing pixel values in a binary document could introduce Irregularities that is very visually noticeable. We have seen but limited number of papers proposing new techniques and ideas for document image watermarking and data hiding. In this paper, we present an overview and summary of recent developments on this important topic, and discuss important issues such as robustness and data hiding capacity of the different techniques

IMPLEMENTASI WATERMARKING AUDIO DENGAN METODE PHASE CODING DAN ECHO DATA HIDING Audio Watermarking Implementation using Phase Coding and Echo Data Hiding Method

Kata Kunci : phase coding, echo data hiding, fasa, low/high pass filtering, kompresi, resamplingABSTRACT: Watermarking is a concept of embedding data into a document or cover signal so a piece of information like ownership or consumer identity is hidden in it. The information which is embeded is known as watermark. This final project implements audio watermarking using phase coding and echo data hiding. Phase coding embeds watermark by changing the initial phase with the phase which represents the watermark. Echo data hiding embeds data by introducing echoes which represent the watermark. The experiments and the analysis shows that phase coding has more data rate then echo data hiding. In the other hand, these methods are robust in facing the low/high pass filtering, but not robust in facing the compression and resampling.Keyword: phase coding, echo data hiding, phase, low/high pass filtering, compression, resamplin

Nowadays, information hiding is becoming a helpful technique and fetches more attention due to the fast growth of using the internet; it is applied for sending secret information by using different techniques. Watermarking is one of major important technique in information hiding. Watermarking is of hiding secret data into a carrier media to provide the privacy and integrity of information so that no one can recognize and detect it's accepted the sender and receiver. In watermarking, many various carrier formats can be used such as an image, video, audio, and text. The text is most popular used as a carrier files due to its frequency on the internet. There are many techniques variables for the text watermarking; each one has its own robust and susceptible points. In this study, we conducted a review of text watermarking in the spatial domain to explore the term text watermarking by reviewing, collecting, synthesizing and analyze the challenges of different studies which related to this area published from 2013 to 2018. The aims of this paper are to provide an overview of text watermarking and comparison between approved studies as discussed according to the Arabic text characters, payload capacity, Imperceptibility, authentication, and embedding technique to open important research issues in the future work to obtain a robust method

In digital world, information security is the major issue in digital communication on a network from the third party hackers. Steganography techniques play an important role in information security. These are the secure techniques, used for concealing existence of secret information in any digital cover object viz. image, audio, video files. In last several decades, significant researches have been done on video and image steganography techniques because data embedding and data extraction is very simple. However, many researchers also take the audio file as a cover object where robustness and undetectability of information is very difficult task. The main objective of steganography is hiding the existence of the embedded data in any digital cover object. Steganography technique must be robust against the various image-processing attacks. Nowadays, video files are more accepted because of large size and memory requirements. This paper intends to provide a survey on video techniques and provide the fundamental concept of the steganography and their uses
