    ABSTRAKĀ Faktor kesediaan pengetahuan, sikap dan persekitaran merupakan aspek penting kepada para pelajar kejuruteraan dalam memahami dan mengamalkan etika profesional jurutera. Pembentukan etika profesional jurutera dalam kalangan pelajar sewajarnya bermula di peringkat pengajian di universiti. Etika professional ialah etika yang melibatkan nilai dan tingkah laku individu. Memahami amalan etika yang baik dapat membantu para pelajar dalam mengamalkan etika apabila mereka berada di dalam bidang pekerjaan kelak. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengenal pasti hubungan di antara faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kesediaan pelajar kejuruteraan dalam amalan etika profesional jurutera. Kajian ini dijalankan menggunakan borang selidik bagi mendapatkan maklumat balas berkaitan kajian. Seramai 157 orang responden yang terdiri daripada pelajar kejuruteraan telah menjawab borang soal selidik yang diedarkan. Data dianalisis menggunakan statistik deskriptif dan inferensi dengan menggunakan perisian SPSS versi 22.0. Diharapkan dapatan kajian ini dapat memberi maklumat awal berkaitan persediaan pelajar dalam menyediakan diri sebagai seorang jurutera profesional.Ā Kata kunci: Hubungan, kesediaan, etika profesionalĀ Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā  Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā Ā ABSTRACTĀ Factors of knowledge readiness, attitudes and environments are important aspects for engineering students in understanding and practicing the professional ethics of engineers. The formation of professional engineering ethics among students should begin at the tertiary level. Professional ethics involves personal values and behaviour. Recognising the best ethical practices can help students to practice them at the workplace in the future. This study aimed to identify the relationship between factors which influenced engineering studentsā€™ readiness in practicing the professional ethics of engineers. A survey was conducted by using questionnaires to obtain feedback for the study. A total of 157 engineering students became the respondents for the questionnaires. Data were analysed using SPSS version 22.0 software to obtain the descriptive and inferential statistics. It is hoped that the findings of this study can provide preliminary information related to the studentsā€™ readiness in preparing themselves to become professional engineers.Ā Keywords: Relationship, readiness, professional ethic

    Analysis of bibliometric literature on Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) Pedagogical Content Knowledge spanning 2011-2022. STEM learning is being developed and researched recently. The teacher's role in implementing this learning is very important. Given the importance of the teacher's role in this learning, it is important to analyze research articles to find the relationship between Pedagogical Content Knowledge PCK and STEM, as well as look for opportunities for effective teacher training to improve STEM PCK, science teachers. This research uses the text analysis method, and the data is presented using bibliometric analysis. Searching using the keyword Ć¢ā‚¬Å“STEM pedagogical content knowledgeĆ¢ā‚¬ using publish or perish software, obtained 999 kinds of literature published from 2011 to 2022. From the results of the analysis of PCK and STEM components in the title and abstract using bibliometric analysis, further research opportunities can be obtained by linking the keywords PCK, pedagogical practice, STEM integration, PBL, and student achievement in developing 21st-century skills

    Abstrak Edukasi kewirausahaan sangat dibutuhkan mahasiswa agar dapat berwirausaha dan mengurangi masalah pengangguran di negeri ini. Tujuan penelitian ini 1) Untuk mengetahui prestasi belajar Mahasiswa Prodi S1 Pendidian Tata Boga Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Surabaya; 2) Untuk mengetahui minat wirausaha Mahasiswa Prodi S1 Pendidian Tata Boga Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Surabaya; 3) Untuk mengetahui adanya hubungan antara prestasi belajar mata kuliah bermuatan kewirausahaan dengan minat berwirausaha mahasiswa Prodi S1 Pendidikan Tata Boga Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Surabaya. Metode penelitian yang digunakan menggunakan penelitian kuantitatif. Jumlah responden sebanyak 49 mahasiswa program Studi S1 Pendidikan Tata Boga Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Surabaya 2013. Data dikumpulkan melalui dokumentasi siakad.unesa.ac.id dan kuisioner minat berwirausaha. Selanjutnya data diolah menggunakan SPSS dengan uji korelasi Pearson. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Rata-rata prestasi belajar mahasiswa mata kuliah bermuatan kewirausahaan dalam katagori Baik; 2) Rata ā€“ rata skor minat berwirausaha mahasiswa dalam kategori baik; 3) tidak ada hubungan yang signifikan antara prestasi belajar mata kuliah bermuatan kewirausahaan dengan minat berwirausaha mahasiswa. The objective of this study are 1) to describe entrepreneur courses achievement among students in Culinary Education Program, Faculty of Engineering, The State University of Surabaya 2) to describe entrepreneurial intention among students in Culinary Education Program, Faculty of Engineering, The State University of Surabaya 3) to analyze the relationship between entrepreneur courses achievement and entrepreneurial intention among students in Culinary Education Program, Faculty of Engineering, The State University of Surabaya. This quantitavive study was attended by 49 students from Culinary Education Program, Faculty of Engineering, The State University of Surabaya 2013. Data was collected from siakad.unesa.ac.id documentation and entrepreneurial intention questionnaire. Data was analyzed using SPSS software with Pearson corelation test.     Towards a method for rigorous development of generic requirements patterns

    We present work in progress on a method for the engineering, validation and verification of generic requirements using domain engineering and formal methods. The need to develop a generic requirement set for subsequent system instantiation is complicated by the addition of the high levels of verification demanded by safety-critical domains such as avionics. Our chosen application domain is the failure detection and management function for engine control systems: here generic requirements drive a software product line of target systems. A pilot formal specification and design exercise is undertaken on a small (twosensor) system element. This exercise has a number of aims: to support the domain analysis, to gain a view of appropriate design abstractions, for a B novice to gain experience in the B method and tools, and to evaluate the usability and utility of that method.We also present a prototype method for the production and verification of a generic requirement set in our UML-based formal notation, UML-B, and tooling developed in support. The formal verification both of the structural generic requirement set, and of a particular application, is achieved via translation to the formal specification language, B, using our U2B and ProB tools

    Next generation software environments : principles, problems, and research directions

    The past decade has seen a burgeoning of research and development in software environments. Conferences have been devoted to the topic of practical environments, journal papers produced, and commercial systems sold. Given all the activity, one might expect a great deal of consensus on issues, approaches, and techniques. This is not the case, however. Indeed, the term "environment" is still used in a variety of conflicting ways. Nevertheless substantial progress has been made and we are at least nearing consensus on many critical issues.The purpose of this paper is to characterize environments, describe several important principles that have emerged in the last decade or so, note current open problems, and describe some approaches to these problems, with particular emphasis on the activities of one large-scale research program, the Arcadia project. Consideration is also given to two related topics: empirical evaluation and technology transition. That is, how can environments and their constituents be evaluated, and how can new developments be moved effectively into the production sector

    Quantifying restoration costs in the aftermath of an extreme event using system dynamics and dynamic mathematical modeling approaches

    Extreme events such as earthquakes, hurricanes, and the like, lead to devastating effects that may render multiple supply chain critical infrastructure elements inoperable. The economic losses caused by extreme events continue well after the emergency response phase has ended and are a key factor in determining the best path for post-disaster restoration. It is essential to develop efficient restoration and disaster management strategies to ameliorate the losses from such events. This dissertation extends the existing knowledge base on disaster management and restoration through the creation of models and tools that identify the relationship between production losses and restoration costs. The first research contribution is a system dynamics inoperability model that determines inputs, outputs, and flows for roadway networks. This model can be used to identify the connectivity of road segments and better understand how inoperability contributes to economic consequences. The second contribution is an algorithm that integrates critical infrastructure data derived from bottom-up cost estimation technique as part of an object-oriented software tool that can be used to determine the impact of system disruptions. The third contribution is a dynamic mathematical model that establishes a framework to estimate post-disaster restoration costs from a whole system perspective.     A Systematic Review of Tracing Solutions in Software Product Lines

    Software Product Lines are large-scale, multi-unit systems that enable massive, customized production. They consist of a base of reusable artifacts and points of variation that provide the system with flexibility, allowing generating customized products. However, maintaining a system with such complexity and flexibility could be error prone and time consuming. Indeed, any modification (addition, deletion or update) at the level of a product or an artifact would impact other elements. It would therefore be interesting to adopt an efficient and organized traceability solution to maintain the Software Product Line. Still, traceability is not systematically implemented. It is usually set up for specific constraints (e.g. certification requirements), but abandoned in other situations. In order to draw a picture of the actual conditions of traceability solutions in Software Product Lines context, we decided to address a literature review.
