    Public sector such as Govt. University composed of many physical as well logical threads, which are very beneficial for public to provide services. Over times due to repeated modification of software modules, the structure of the system deteriorates and it become very complex to understand for further modification whenever requirement need to provide services to public, because it is universal truth after specific time period there is need of modification to fulfill the requirement for public. And if we repeat to modify the software module, then it is very complicated just like noodles in chowmin plate and program structure is twisted and tangled. Due to this program structure greatly decrease the scalability, reliability, efficiency, robustness and increased the complexity of software module. And it also increased the maintenance cost of software module, therefore repeated modification is not a good choice. Reengineering is good choice for this. Therefore, in this paper we will introduced a new methodology that is known as pattern based reengineer methodology, that is not only focus on only logical thread, but also focus on physical entities - reduce overall complexity. It is proved that the transformation does not alter the semantic of restructured program

    Using contextual goal models for constructing situational methods

    Situation and intention are two fundamental notions in situational method engineering (SME). They are used to assess the context of an ISD project and to specify method requirements in this context. They also allow defining the goals of the method chunks and the conditions under which they can be applied. In this way, the selection and assembly of method chunks for a particular ISD project is driven by matching situational method requirements to method chunks’ goals and context descriptions. In this paper we propose the use of contextual goal models for supporting all SME steps.     An automated wrapper-based approach to the design of dependable software

    The design of dependable software systems invariably comprises two main activities: (i) the design of dependability mechanisms, and (ii) the location of dependability mechanisms. It has been shown that these activities are intrinsically difficult. In this paper we propose an automated wrapper-based methodology to circumvent the problems associated with the design and location of dependability mechanisms. To achieve this we replicate important variables so that they can be used as part of standard, efficient dependability mechanisms. These well-understood mechanisms are then deployed in all relevant locations. To validate the proposed methodology we apply it to three complex software systems, evaluating the dependability enhancement and execution overhead in each case. The results generated demonstrate that the system failure rate of a wrapped software system can be several orders of magnitude lower than that of an unwrapped equivalent

    Business Process Management Education in Academia: Status, challenges, and Recommendations

    In response to the growing proliferation of Business Process Management (BPM) in industry and the demand this creates for BPM expertise, universities across the globe are at various stages of incorporating knowledge and skills in their teaching offerings. However, there are still only a handful of institutions that offer specialized education in BPM in a systematic and in-depth manner. This article is based on a global educators’ panel discussion held at the 2009 European Conference on Information Systems in Verona, Italy. The article presents the BPM programs of five universities from Australia, Europe, Africa, and North America, describing the BPM content covered, program and course structures, and challenges and lessons learned. The article also provides a comparative content analysis of BPM education programs illustrating a heterogeneous view of BPM. The examples presented demonstrate how different courses and programs can be developed to meet the educational goals of a university department, program, or school. This article contributes insights on how best to continuously sustain and reshape BPM education to ensure it remains dynamic, responsive, and sustainable in light of the evolving and ever-changing marketplace demands for BPM expertise
