Globale Umwelt: ein Forschungsfeld zur Verringerung oder Verstärkung von Ungleichheit?

"Globale Umweltforschung erzeugt einen universalistischen Referenzrahmen zur Beschreibung, Beobachtung und Bewertung ökologischer Krisen mit planetaren Ausmaßen. Das Konstrukt einer globalen Umwelt unterstellt eine weltweit geteilte gemeinsame Bedrohung im Sinne der ökologischen Selbstgefährdung der Menschheit. Es bildet die Voraussetzung für das politische Projekt zur Rettung des Planeten Erde, zu dessen Verwirklichung zahlreiche internationale Umweltschutzabkommen verabschiedet werden. Eng damit verbunden ist die weltweite Standardisierung wissenschaftlicher Beobachtungsverfahren. Dieser gemeinsame Referenzrahmen entfaltet sich jedoch im Kontext massiver ökonomischer, politischer und kultureller Ungleichheiten. Globale Umweltforschung birgt die Gefahr, durch die Orientierungan einer scheinbar einheitlichen Ökosystemrationalität diese Ungleichheitsbedingungen zu verdecken und dadurch gerade zu ihrer Zementierung beizutragen. Der Vortrag stellt Ergebnisse zur Diskussion, die aus der Analyse von Globalisierungsprozessen in Wissenschaft und Politik gewonnen wurden. Darin geht es um die zugleich egalisierende und Ungleichheit stiftende Wirkung von Wissenschaft. Der Vortrag beruht auf einer Auseinandersetzung mit dem world polity-Ansatz von John Meyer et al., in dem Verwissenschaftlichungs- und Rationalisierungsprozesse von zentraler Bedeutung sind. Die Implikationen dieser als kulturell verstandenen Prozesse für die Erzeugung oder Überwindung von Ungleichheit bleiben innerhalb des Ansatzes typischerweise ausgeklammert. Empirisch basiert der Vortrag auf zwei Projekten zur Globalisierung von Wissenschaft: einem abgeschlossenen Promotionsprojekt über die Rolle von Wissenschaft in der Globalisierung von Umweltpolitik am Beispiel der senegalesischen Klimaschutzpolitik, sowie einem laufenden DFG-Projekt über die Internationalisierung globaler Umweltforschung im Vergleich Deutschland-USA." Influencia del acceso abierto en las revistas de América Latina en el contexto internacional de la ciencia

El Acceso Abierto en la comunicación académica se viene desarrollando por dos grandes vías: la ruta verde y la ruta dorada. Algunos estudios analizan la extensión y la magnitud de este fenómeno, pero pocos muestran los efectos en términos de impacto y visibilidad. Nuestro objetivo es analizar estos efectos desde la perspectiva del modelo económico de las revistas incluidas en la base de datos Scopus, en Latinoamérica. Los resultados muestran que tanto a nivel internacional como temático, la presencia de las revistas que contribuyen al desarrollo de la "ruta verde" sobrepasan el porcentaje de las revistas de la ruta dorada. Mientras en las regiones periféricas y emergentes, estas últimas revistas predominan ocupando las últimas posiciones de las distribuciones de impactoThe Open Access in the scholarly communication is grouped into two areas referred to as gold and green roads. Recent internationalization of global environmental change research in Germany and the U.S

Recent internationalization of global environmental change research in Germany and the U.S. Scientometrics. 2005;62(1):67-85.The possible existence of specialisation patterns by research fields of the Italian regions is investigated. Accordingly, bibliometric data on papers published in international scientific journals have been processed and tailored for regional comparative analysis. The results show that the trends in scientific regional specialisation are related to the research activities performed by each scientific system, but also the regional industrial skill is very often reflected in the corresponding scientific profile. The empirical evidences show also that each Italian region works as a well identifiable scientific system providing for its own specific contribution to the national performance
