Simulation of activation and propagation delay during tripolar neural stimulation
Computer simulations were perfonned to investigate the influence of stimulus amplitude on cathodal activation delay, propagation delay and blocking during stimulation with a bipolar cuff electrode. Activation and propagation delays were combined in a total delay term which was minimized between the excitation and blocking thresholds
Time synchronization via the transit satellite at Mizusawa
Time signals emitted from Transit satellites and received by the NAVICODE type receiver at Mizusawa, Japan are presented. The International Latitude Observatory of Mizusawa and the U. S. Naval Observatory were compared using the time signals. Propagation delays, a receiver delay, effects of relative motion of satellites, and effects of the ionosphere are discussed
Models for atmospheric propagation delays
Techniques operated for the realization of the IERS reference systems make use of
electromagnetic signals received on the surface of the Earth. During their transit
of the atmosphere, the signals experience delays which must be modeled in the
analysis software. This chapter presents models for the propagation of optical
signals in the troposphere (9.1), for radio signals in the troposphere (9.2) and
for radio signals in the ionosphere (9.4). For Doppler techniques which use time-
di erenced phases as observables, the models presented in this chapter should be
time-di erenced as well.Peer ReviewedPostprint (published version
High speed CMOS/SOS standard cell notebook
The NASA/MSFC high speed CMOS/SOS standard cell family, designed to be compatible with the PR2D (Place, Route in 2-Dimensions) automatic layout program, is described. Standard cell data sheets show the logic diagram, the schematic, the truth table, and propagation delays for each logic cell
Synchronous solutions and their stability in nonlocally coupled phase oscillators with propagation delays
We study the existence and stability of synchronous solutions in a continuum
field of non-locally coupled identical phase oscillators with
distance-dependent propagation delays. We present a comprehensive stability
diagram in the parameter space of the system. From the numerical results a
heuristic synchronization condition is suggested, and an analytic relation for
the marginal stability curve is obtained. We also provide an expression in the
form of a scaling relation that closely follows the marginal stability curve
over the complete range of the non-locality parameter.Comment: accepted in Phys. Rev. E (2010
