    Ontology-Based Privacy Protection in Location Commerce

    Location commerce extends e-commerce through the provision of location-related activities, but this gives rise to greater concerns about privacy invasion. To encourage the smooth growth of location commerce, it is suggested that control over the sharing of intimate information be given back to the consumer. This study proposes an ontology-based privacy protection (OPP) framework that allows consumers to specify their own privacy preferences and then uses these preferences to determine whether or not a message from a merchant can be delivered to a consumer. We use ontology to structure the knowledge to simplify the framework and allow for the possibility of automation. The system is believed to be context-aware, as the location, time, service type, information type, and other contextual data are taken into consideration. We develop a prototype system for demonstration and experiment, and show that the framework design is feasible and has a reasonable performance

    [[abstract]]E-commerce and M-commerce can extend the marketing of a company or enterprise to unlimited region. Through Internet and WWW, the limitation of distance and region are broken for business behaviors. Agent technique is one of the important technologies developed to support the Internet applications. Especially, the Internet and WWW technologies broken the limitation of space, and the agent techniques solve the problems of temporality. Even if the users are off-line, the agents are still active in the world of computer network and play the roles that their users assigned. In this paper, a mechanism is proposed for E-marketplace based on agents and mobile agents. Some issues of research are discussed. They include the platform of mobile agents, the types and classifications of agents and mobile agents, behaviors of commerce transactions and processing models, negotiation mechanisms, etc. Moreover, they include the techniques of information retrieval, data mining, and knowledge base, etc. Based on the proposed mechanism of E-marketplace, the applications of E-commerce will be more effective, easier to develop, and more creating the marketing of business.[[notice]]補正完

This gives users a powerful mechanism for building and integrating large amounts of distributed information from diverse resources. However few support tools have been developed for users to sift through this vast amount of information. In this thesis, we advocate the integration of two entities; Static agents to create a user profile, and information integration architecture to provide the desired information. Text-Based information is the main concern due to its high significance in our daily lives. Thus, information integration architecture will gather and intelligently combine information from multiple agents and present the user with combined information using a task agent.İnternet ve ona benzer büyük boyuttaki ağ yapıları dağıtık veri, dağıtık erişim ve dağıtık kontrol imkanları sağlar. Bu sayede kullanıcılar, büyük miktarlardaki veriyi farklı kaynaklardan alıp birleştirme ve yapılandırma şansına sahip olurlar. Ancak bu büyük boyutlardaki veriyi belli bir amaca göre eleyebilecek destek araçları sınırlı sayıdadır. Bu tezde iki varlığın bir araya getirilmesi savunulmaktadır. Durağan ajanlar ile kullanıcı profili yaratmak ve bilgi entegrasyon mimarisi ile gerekli bilgiyi kullanıcılara sağlamak hedeflenmiştir. Karakter tabanlı bilgi günlük hayatımızdaki öneminden dolayı tezin ürettiği çözüm içinde yer almaktadır. Böylece bilgi entegrasyon mimarisi farklı durağan ajanlardan bilgi toplayıp, derleyip talep eden diğer ajanlara sunacaktır. Bunu yaparken görev ajanı kullanılacaktır

    Business decisions must rely not only on organisation’s internal data but also on external data from competitors or relevant events. This information can be obtained from the Web but must be integrated with the data in an organisation’s Data Warehouse (DW). In this paper we discuss the agent-based integration approach using ontologies. To enable common understanding of a domain between people and application systems we introduce business rules approach towards ontology management. Because knowledge in organisation’s ontologies is acquired from business users without technical knowledge simple user interface based on ontology restrictions and predefined templates are used. After data from internal DW, Web and business rules are acquired; agent can deduce new knowledge and therefore facilitate decision making process. Tasks like information retrieval from competitors, creating and reviewing OLAP reports are autonomously performed by agents, while business users have control over their execution through knowledge base in ontology. The approach presented in the paper was verified on the case study from the domain of mobile communications with the emphasis on supply and demand of mobile phones and its accessories
