    Steganography in Text by Merge ZWC and Space Character

    Secure communication is essential for data confidentiality and integrity especially with the massive growth of the internet and mobile communication. Steganography is an art for data hiding by embedding the data to different objects such as text, images, audio and video objects. In this paper we propose a new algorithm for data hiding using Text Steganography in Arabic language. Our algorithm uses the Zero Width Character from Unicode (U+200B) and space character to pass bits before and after space. Main advantage of our algorithm file format will not be change and this will decrease the ability of Stegoanalysis to observe hidden data. Moreover ZWC algorithm can be applied to any language (ASCII, Unicode)

    Urdu text steganography: Utilizing isolated letters

    This paper presents an imperceptible and high capacity feature based approach which hides a secret message into Urdu text cover media by utilising all isolated letters. Existing techniques are less imperceptible and also not robust against steganalysis attacks and some of these schemes are failed to provide the better capacity rates. Previous lexical based and syntax based schemes are ineffective to provide the better capacity rate and image based approaches are not robust against format attacks. Moreover, Feature based approaches are more perceptible and thus, cannot resist against visual attacks. This paper proposes an improved algorithm that encompasses all isolated letters of Urdu text for hiding data to provide better capacity rates. Furthermore, this technique is more secured by using strong public key encryption algorithm. In addition, scheme is also imperceptible, since it does not affect the external appearance of the text. Implementation shows that the proposed text steganography technique provides high concealing capacity

    Novel steganography scheme using Arabic text features in Holy Quran

    With the rapid growth of the Internet and mobile devices, the need for hidden communications has significantly increased. Steganography is a technique introduced for establishing hidden communication, Most steganography techniques have been applied to audio, images, videos, and text. Many researchers used steganography in Arabic texts to take advantage of adding, editing or changing letters or diacritics, but lead to notable and suspicious text. In this paper, we propose two novel steganography algorithms for Arabic text using the Holy Quran as cover text. The fact that it is forbidden to add, edit or change any letter or diacritics in the Holy Quran provides the valuable feature of its robustness and difficulty as a cover in steganography. The algorithms hide secret messages elements within Arabic letters benefiting from the existence of sun letters (Arabic: ḥurūf shamsīyah) and moon letters (ḥurūf qamarīyah). Also, we consider the existence of some Arabic language characteristics represented as small vowel letters (Arabic Diacritics). Our experiments using the proposed two algorithms demonstrate high capacity for text files. The proposed algorithms are robust against attack since the changes in the cover text are imperceptible, so our contribution offers a more secure algorithm that provides good capacity

    A Novel Approach for Arabic Text Steganography Based on the "BloodGroup" Text Hiding Method

    Steganography is the science of hiding certain messages (data) in groups of irrelevant data possibly of other form. The purpose of steganography is covert communication to hide the existence of a message from an intermediary. Text Steganography is the process of embedding secret message (text) in another text (cover text) so that the existence of secret message cannot be detected by a third party. This paper presents a novel approach for text steganography using the Blood Group (BG) method based on the behavior of blood group. Experimentally it is found that the proposed method got good results in capacity, hiding capacity, time complexity, robustness, visibility, and similarity which shows its superiority as compared to most several existing methods

    An embedding traid-bit method to improve the performance of Arabic text steganography

    The enormous development in the utilization of the Internet has driven by continuous improvements in the region of security. The enhanced security techniques are applied to save the intellectual property. There are numerous sorts of security mechanisms. Steganography is the art and science of concealing secret information inside a cover media without drawing any suspicion to the eavesdropper so that the secret information can only be detected by its proposed recipient. This is done along with the other steganography methods such as image, audio, video, various text steganography methods that are being presented. The text is ideal for steganography due to its ubiquity. There are many steganography methods used several languages such as English, Chines and Arabic language to embed the hidden message in the cover text. Kashida, shifting point and sharp_edges are Arabic steganography methods with high capacity. However, kashida, shifting point and sharp_edges techniques have lack of capability to embed the hidden message into the cover text. This study proposed new method called Traid-bit method by integrating three several types of methods such us kashida, shifting point and sharp_edges to evaluate the proposed method in improving the performance of embedding process. The study presents the process design of proposed method including the algorithms and the system design. The study found that the evaluation of the proposed method provides good knowledge to steganographer to improve the performance of embedding process when the Arabic text steganography method is developed

The usage of text documents has doubled several times over the past years especially with mobile devices. In this paper we propose a new Steganogaphy algorithm for Arabic text. The algorithm employs some Arabic language characteristics, which represent as small vowel letters. Arabic Diacritics is an optional property for any text and usually is not popularly used. Many algorithms tried to employ this property to hide data in Arabic text. In our method, we use this property to hide data and reduce the probability of suspicions hiding. Our approach uses a performance metric involves the file size before and after adding Diacritics and ability to hide data with being suspicious

    Hybrid Arabic text steganography

    An improved method for Arabic text steganography is introduced in this paper. This method hides an Arabic text inside another based on a hybrid approach. Both Kashida and Arabic Diacritics are used to hide the Arabic text inside another text. In this improved method, the secret message is divided into two parts, the first part is to be hidden by the Kashida method, and the second is to be hidden by the Diacritics or Harakat method. For security purposes, we benefitted from the natural existence of Diacritics as a characteristic of Arabic written language, as used to represent vowel sounds. The paper exploits the possibility of hiding data in Fathah diacritic and Kashida punctuation marks, adjusting previously presented schemes that are based on a single method only. Here, the secret message is divided into two parts, the cover text is prepared, and then we apply the Harakat method on the first part. The Kashida method is applied on the second part, and then the two parts are combined. When the hidden ‘StegoText’ is received, a split mechanism is used to recover the original message. The described hybrid Arabic StegoText showed higher capacity and security with promising results compared to other methods
