Metal injection molding is a worldwide technology that world use as a predominant method in manufacturing. Optimizing the injection molding process is critical in obtaining a good shape retention of green components and improving manufacturing processes itself. This research focuses on the injection molding optimization which correlated to a single response of green strength which implementing orthogonal array of Taguchi L9 (34). It involved the effect of four molding factors: injection temperature, mold temperature, injection pressure and injection speed, towards green strength. The significant levels and contribution to the variables of green strength are determined using the analysis of variance. Manual screening test is conducted in regards of identifying the appropriate level of each factors. The study demonstrated that injection temperature was the most influential factor contributes to the best green strength, followed by mold temperature, injection speed and injection pressure. The optimum condition for attaining optimal green strength was definitely by conducting injection molding at; 160 ºC of injection temperature, 40 ºC of mold temperature, 50 % of injection pressure and 50 % of injection speed. The confirmation experiment result is 15.5127 dB and it was exceeding minimum requirement of the optimum performance. This research reveals that the proposed approach can excellently solve the problem with minimal number of trials, without sacrificing the ability of evaluating the appropriate condition to achieve related response, which is green strength

Biometric system can be defined as the automated method of identifying or authenticating the identity of a living person based on physiological or behavioral traits. Palmprint biometric-based authentication has gained considerable attention in recent years. Globally, enterprises have been exploring biometric authorization for some time, for the purpose of security, payment processing, law enforcement CCTV systems, and even access to offices, buildings, and gyms via the entry doors. Palmprint biometric system can be divided into unimodal and multimodal. This paper will investigate the biometric system and provide a detailed overview of the palmprint technology with existing recognition approaches. Finally, we introduce a review of previous works based on a unimodal palmprint system using different databases

RECENT ADVANCEMENTS IN EAR BIOMETRICS: A REVIEW

Ascertaining the identity of a person is quite an important aspect of Forensic Science. There are so many physiological features have been proved to be highly discriminating among individuals. Biometrics play a significant role in individualizing a person. Fingerprint, Palm print, Retina and Iris recognition are the most popular examples of it. Fingerprint and iris are generally considered to allow more accurate biometric recognition than the face, but the face is more easily used in surveillance scenarios where fingerprint and iris capture are not feasible. However, the face by itself is not yet as accurate and flexible as desired for this scenario due to expression changes, source of illumination, make-up, etc. Besides these limitations, ear images can be acquired in a similar manner to face images. A number of researchers have suggested that the human ear is unique enough to each individual to allow practical use as a biometric. In this article an attempt has been made to review all the recent researches of a decade made in the field of Ear Biometrics

Biometric systems are used for identifying and recognizing individual characteristics on the basis of biological or behavioral features. In the research work, a biometric fusion system based on fingerprint and face using the artificial intelligence technique is proposed. To achieve better accuracy of the biometric fusion system, the uniqueness of feature is significant. To find out the unique feature set from the data, we have used different feature extraction algorithm in the proposed biometric fusion system. Initially, pre-processing has been applied on the test images which is used to remove the unwanted data from the uploaded image and return an appropriate data for further process. In the fingerprint part, minutia extraction is used as a feature of fingerprint whereas Extended Local Binary pattern (ELBP) is used for extracting features of face and creates a pattern of face features. To create a unique feature set, optimization algorithm is needed and we have used genetic algorithm as a feature optimization technique. In the proposed fusion system, ANN is used to classify the test data according to the trained ANN structure with optimized feature data of fingerprint and face. To check the efficiency of proposed fusion system, we have calculated the performance parameters like FAR, FRR and Accuracy. From the analysis of proposed fusion system, we have observed that the accuracy of the proposed work is better than the previous ones and it is more than the 94%. To design a proposed biometric fusion system, image processing toolbox is used under the MATLAB environment
