Cloud architectures are becoming an active area of research. The quality and durability of a software system are defined by its architecture. The architecture approaches that are used to build cloud-based systems are not available in a blended fashion to achieve an effective universal architecture solution. The paper aims to contribute to the systematic literature review (SLR) to assist researchers who are striving to contribute in this area. The main objective of this review is to systematically identify and analyse the recently published research topics related to software architecture for cloud with regard to research activity, used tools and techniques, proposed approaches, domains. The applied method is SLR based on four selected electronic databases proposed by (Kitchenham and Charters, 2007). Out of 400 classified publications, we regard 121 as relevant for our research domain. We outline taxonomy of their topics and domains, provide lists of used methods and proposed approaches. At present, there is little research coverage on software architectures for cloud, while other disciplines have become more active. The future work is to develop a secure architecture to achieve quality of service and service level agreements

Pregnancy is a time in a woman's life that infectious diseases pose a serious threat to your health and your child's health. Maternal immunization through vaccination allows the prevention of such diseases and their maternal and fetal complications, as well as to provide passive immunity to the fetus in the first months of life. The main objectives of this study are to review the latest guidelines provided by ACIP for each vaccine, the risks/benefits associated and understand the immunological changes associated with pregnancy, how is performed the surveillance of pregnancy, the role of Primary Health Care and the reasons that underlie the low vaccination coverage in this population. The methodology used was based on a literature research published online in PubMed, in research of specific ACIP guidelines and in access to standards/protocols of Maternal and Child Health of Center ARS and DGS. The maternal immune system undergoes a process of immunomodulation and the transfer of maternal antibodies to the fetus, that confers passive immunity, is higher in the last four weeks of pregnancy. Surveillance of pregnancy is based on a protocol that must be shared between the Primary Health Care and the Hospital Care. According to the ACIP, the vaccines of inactivated bacteria or viruses, toxoids and immunoglobulins present no risk to the fetus. Bacterial or viruses live attenuated vaccines (LAIV, MMR, Varicella, Zoster and BCG) present theoretical risk of fetal infection, miscarriage, stillbirth, neonatal death and congenital malformations. Thus, the first can be administered during pregnancy and the latter are contraindicated. The Tdap/Td and the TIV vaccines are recommended for all pregnant women. However, as studies reveal no concerns about safety, even for vaccines contraindicated, if the woman is inadvertently vaccinated there are no reasons related to vaccination to interrupt the pregnancy. The vaccination coverage of pregnant women is still not a consistent practice of health care and the main reasons for this are the lack of encouragement by health professionals who claim lack of information and safety issues of vaccines. Given the close relationship between the pregnant and Primary Health Care, they should review immunization status of pregnant women, adequately inform about the benefits and risks of vaccination and provide whatever support is necessary, also including the household of pregnant

Tez (Doktora) -- İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi, Fen Bilimleri Enstitüsü, 2014Thesis (PhD) -- İstanbul Technical University, Institute of Science and Technology, 2014Tarih boyunca artistik, felsefi ve bilimsel alanlardan çıkarılan estetik prensiplerin kullanımı, mekansal sanatlar alanında ön plana çıkan etmenlerdir. 19. Throughout history, the use of aesthetic principles derived from artistic, philosophical and scientific domains are emphatic factors in the field of spatial arts. Similarly, architecture falls under the same principle however, its scientific-based schemes are often simply introduced as form-finding techniques. By focusing into the biological realm, this procedural synthesis intentionally extracts formal aspects often neglecting integral parts of the biological system. Thus the combination of spatial art and architecture through a biological paradigm potentiates dynamic spatial systems that can simultaneously acquire multiple formal models. This aspect draws a closer relation to the function of the biological model. By departing from the definition of the “Gesamkunstwerk” and in particular F. Kiesler’s work “On Correalism and Biotechnique”, the theoretical and conceptual contribution to the field of architecture is an open-ended construct that embeds the biological stance into multiple models and subsequent modalities of space. These diverse modes of expression combine a biological body of design that is a ubiquitous and integrated network between new media and space. The dissertation describes an exploration of what is the “Function of the Bio” through the correlated use of evolutionary strategies and spatial systems hypothesis, which provides theoretical and a formal approach to the understanding of biological driven design.DoktoraPh

Cloud Computing and Cloud Automata as A New Paradigm for Computation

    Get PDF
Cloud computing addresses how to make right resources available to right computation to improve scaling, resiliency and efficiency of the computation. We argue that cloud computing indeed, is a new paradigm for computation with a higher order of artificial intelligence (AI), and put forward cloud automata as a new model for computation. A high-level AI requires infusing features that mimic human functioning into AI systems. One of the central features is that humans learn all the time and the learning is incremental. Consequently, for AI, we need to use computational models, which reflect incremental learning without stopping (sentience). These features are inherent in reflexive, inductive and limit Turing machines. To construct cloud automata, we use the mathematical theory of Oracles, which include Oracles of Turing machines as its special case. We develop a hierarchical approach based on Oracles with different ranks that includes Oracle AI as a special case. Discussing a named-set approach, we describe an implementation of a high-performance edge cloud using hierarchical name-oriented networking and Oracle AI-based orchestration. We demonstrate how cloud automata with a control overlay allows microservice network provisioning, monitoring and reconfiguration to address non-deterministic fluctuations affecting their behavior without interrupting the overall evolution of computation
