Delay-dependent stability of linear multi-step methods for linear neutral systems

    Get PDF
summary:In this paper, we are concerned with numerical methods for linear neutral systems with multiple delays. For delay-dependently stable neutral systems, we ask what conditions must be imposed on linear multi-step methods in order that the numerical solutions display stability property analogous to that displayed by the exact solutions. Combining with Lagrange interpolation, linear multi-step methods can be applied to the neutral systems. Utilizing the argument principle, a sufficient condition is derived for linear multi-step methods with preserving delay-dependent stability. Numerical examples are given to illustrate the main results

On delay-dependent robust stability under model transformation of some neutral systems

    Get PDF
summary:This paper focuses on the delay-dependent robust stability of linear neutral delay systems. The systems under consideration are described by functional differential equations, with norm bounded time varying nonlinear uncertainties in the "state" and norm bounded time varying quasi-linear uncertainties in the delayed "state" and in the difference operator. The stability analysis is performed via the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional approach. Sufficient delay dependent conditions for robust stability are given in terms of the existence of positive definite solutions of LMIs

BIBO stability analysis for delay switched systems with nonlinear perturbation

    Get PDF
Extent: 8p.The problem of bounded-input bounded-output (BIBO) stability is investigated for a class of delay switched systems with mixed time-varying discrete and constant neutral delays and nonlinear perturbation. Based on the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional theory, new BIBO stabilization criteria are established in terms of delay-dependent linear matrix inequalities. The numerical simulation is carried out to demonstrate the effectiveness of the results obtained in the paper.Jincheng Wei, Peng Shi, Hamid Reza Karimi, and Bo Wan

    Robust H

    Get PDF
This paper deals with the robust H∞ filter design problem for a class of uncertain neutral stochastic systems with Markovian jumping parameters and time delay. Based on the Lyapunov-Krasovskii theory and generalized Finsler Lemma, a delay-dependent stability condition is proposed to ensure not only that the filter error system is robustly stochastically stable but also that a prescribed H∞ performance level is satisfied for all admissible uncertainties. All obtained results are expressed in terms of linear matrix inequalities which can be easily solved by MATLAB LMI toolbox. Numerical examples are given to show that the results obtained are both less conservative and less complicated in computation

Robust Predictive Extended State Observer for a Class of Nonlinear Systems with Time-Varying Input Delay

[EN] This paper deals with asymptotic stabilisation of a class of nonlinear input-delayed systems via dynamic output feedback in the presence of disturbances. The proposed strategy has the structure of an observer-based control law, in which the observer estimates and predicts both the plant state and the external disturbance. A nominal delay value is assumed to be known and stability conditions in terms of linear matrix inequalities are derived for fast-varying delay uncertainties. Asymptotic stability is achieved if the disturbance or the time delay is constant. The controller design problem is also addressed and a numerical example with an unstable system is provided to illustrate the usefulness of the proposed strategy. This work was partially supported by: Ministerio de EconomĂa y Competitividad, Spain (TIN2017-86520-C3-1-R); Universitat PolitĂšcnica de ValĂšncia (FPI-UPV 2014 PhD Grant); and Israel Science Foundation (Grant No. 1128/14).Sanz Diaz, R.; GarcĂa Gil, PJ.; Fridman, E.; Albertos PĂ©rez, P. A novel delay-dependent asymptotic stability conditions for differential and Riemann-Liouville fractional differential neutral systems with constant delays and nonlinear perturbation

    Get PDF
The novel delay-dependent asymptotic stability of a differential and Riemann-Liouville fractional differential neutral system with constant delays and nonlinear perturbation is studied. We describe the new asymptotic stability criterion in the form of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), using the application of zero equations, model transformation and other inequalities. Then we show the new delay-dependent asymptotic stability criterion of a differential and Riemann-Liouville fractional differential neutral system with constant delays. Furthermore, we not only present the improved delay-dependent asymptotic stability criterion of a differential and Riemann-Liouville fractional differential neutral system with single constant delay but also the new delay-dependent asymptotic stability criterion of a differential and Riemann-Liouville fractional differential neutral equation with constant delays. Numerical examples are exploited to represent the improvement and capability of results over another research as compared with the least upper bounds of delay and nonlinear perturbation. This work is supported by Science Achievement Scholarship of Thailand (SAST), Research and Academic Affairs Promotion Fund, Faculty of Science, Khon Kaen University, Fiscal year 2020 and National Research Council of Thailand and Khon Kaen University, Thailand (6200069)
