Signer and Message Ambiguity from a Variety of Keys

    Get PDF
A signer and message ambiguous signature enables a recipient to request a signer to sign a sensible message such that the signer cannot guess what message he signed and the receiver cannot deduce the signer\u27s identity. In this work, we formalize this type of signature, introduce the corresponding security requirements and describe two instantions. The first one assumes that the signer hides his identity in nn independently generated public keys, while the second one assumes that all nn public keys share the same public parameters

Fog Integrated Secured and Distributed Environment for Healthcare Industry with Software Defined Networking

Fog computing is a segment of cloud computing where a vast number of peripheral equipment links to the internet. The term "fog" indicates the edges of a cloud in which high performance can be achieved. Many of these devices will generate voluminous raw data as from sensors, and rather than forward all this data to cloud-based servers to be processed, the idea behind fog computing is to do as much processing as possible using computing units co-located with the data-generating devices, so that processed rather than raw data is forwarded, and bandwidth requirements are reduced. A major advantage of processing locally is that data is more often used for the same computation machine which produced the data. Also, the latency between data production and data consumption was reduced. This example is not fully original, since specially programmed hardware has long been used for signal processing. The work presents the integration of software defined networking with the association of fog environment to have the cavernous implementation patterns in the health care industry with higher degree of accuracy

An e-voting system based on oblivious signatures

Electronic voting systems have been widely investigated in recent years since they are very convenient for voters. Many countries have begun to implement electronic voting system to replace the traditional voting system. In order to replace the traditional voting system, an e-voting system must satisfy all the security requirements of those in a traditional voting system. Those security requirements are, firstly, to have a sound mechanism to protect a voter’s privacy, and to ensure that the identity of a voter or the content of a ballot will not be leaked to others. Moreover, it must maintain the integrity, verifiability and fairness during the entire voting process. To keep the system stable during the voting process is also an important factor that must be considered. This thesis is a research on designing a secure electronic voting system. Based on some existing electronic voting systems, we design an improved system to enhance the privacy protection of voters on one hand and to reduce the loading of voters on the other hand. In detail, our scheme is modified from the existing e-voting system of Estonian state, and we proposed an improved e-voting system which uses the oblivious signatures as a building block
