On error-spectrum shaping in state-space digital filters
A new scheme for shaping the error spectrum in state-space digital filter structures is proposed. The scheme is based on the application of diagonal second-order error feedback, and can be used in any arbitrary state-space structure having arbitrary order. A method to obtain noise-optimal state-space structures for fixed error feedback coefficients, starting from noise optimal structures in absence of error feedback (the Mullis and Roberts Structures), is also outlined. This optimization is based on the theory of continuous equivalence for state-space structures
VLSI Implementation of Cascaded Integrator Comb Filters for DSP Applications
The recursive comb filters or Cascaded Integrator Comb filter (CIC) are commonly used as decimators for the sigma delta modulators. This paper presents the VLSI implementation, analysis and design of high speed CIC filters which are based on a low-pass filter. These filters are used in the signal decimation which has the effect on reducing the sampling rate. It is also chosen because its attractive property of both low power and low complexity since it dose not required a multiplier. Simulink toolbox available in Matlab software which is used to simulator and Verilog HDL coding help to verify the functionality of the CIC filters. Design procedures and examples are given for CIC filter with emphasis on frequency response, transfer function and register width. The implementation results show using Modified Carry Look-ahead Adder for summation and also apply pipelined filter structure enhanced high speed and make it more compatible for DSP applications

Self-adaptive loop for external disturbance reduction in differential measurement set-up
We present a method developed to actively compensate common-mode magnetic
disturbances on a multi-sensor device devoted to differential measurements. The
system uses a field-programmable-gated-array card, and operates in conjunction
with a high sensitivity magnetometer: compensating the common-mode of magnetic
disturbances results in a relevant reduction of the difference-mode noise. The
digital nature of the compensation system allows for using a numerical approach
aimed at automatically adapting the feedback loop filter response. A common
mode disturbance attenuation exceeding 50 dB is achieved, resulting in a final
improvement of the differential noise floor by a factor of 10 over the whole
spectral interval of interest.Comment: 7 pages, 8 figures, 26 ref
Adaptive identification and control of structural dynamics systems using recursive lattice filters
A new approach for adaptive identification and control of structural dynamic systems by using least squares lattice filters thar are widely used in the signal processing area is presented. Testing procedures for interfacing the lattice filter identification methods and modal control method for stable closed loop adaptive control are presented. The methods are illustrated for a free-free beam and for a complex flexible grid, with the basic control objective being vibration suppression. The approach is validated by using both simulations and experimental facilities available at the Langley Research Center
