Zur Konkordanz der polnischen Originaltitel und deren deutscher Übersetzungen in der schöngeistigen Literatur

Tytuły dzieł literackich są ważnym elementem makrotekstu, nie mówiąc już o ich znaczeniu marketingowym. W artykule poddano krytycznej analizie nie tylko izomorficzne tłumaczenia tytułów, ale także – a nawet w większości – te, gdzie widoczne są mniejsze czy większe rozbieżności. I tak np. za pozornie dosłownym tłumaczeniem tytułu powieści Jerzego Andrzejewskiego Apelacja jako Appelation kryje się trafny wybór między Appelation a Berufung. Również tłumaczenie powieści Stefana Żeromskiego Wierna rzeka jako Der getreue Strom nie jest łatwe w ocenie. Z jednej strony tytułowa rzeka to w rzeczywistości raczej rzeczka, natomiast der Strom oznacza dużą rzekę z ujściem do morza. Czy jednak punktem odniesienia ma być rzeczywistość faktograficzna, czy raczej rzeczywistość literacka? Osobnym problemem jest tłumaczenie imion własnych – antroponimicznych i topograficznych. Dużo miejsca poświęcono też relacjom interkulturowym. Przykładem może być tłumaczenie Imienin pana dyrektora jako Der Geburtstag des Direktors – jest ono zasadne, gdyż w niemieckiej rzeczywistości kulturowej imieniny nie są tak zakorzenione jak urodziny

In the few existing studies on Jewish characters in Heinrich Mann's narratives, the novel Der Untertan, written between 1912 and 1914, is cited as evidence that by this time, the author had overcome the blatant antisemitism expressed in his early essays. Yet an analysis of the social democrat Napoleon Fischer, a character neglected in the studies mentioned, contradicts this assumption: With his black skin and beard, his deformed arms and legs, his affinity to betrayal and falseness and his craving for power, Fischer bears the marks of a traditional ‹dangerous Jew', thereby confirming the notion of social democracy being a ‹party of Jews

Zu den Verlinkungen in den Wörterbüchern des Internetportals OWID : ein Erfahrungsbericht aus Sicht des Neologismenwörterbuches (NWB)

Der Beitrag zeigt, ausgehend von der Darstellung der neuen Benutzungsmöglichkeiten der Onlinefassung des Neologismenwörterbuches gegenüber seiner Printfassung, welche Links derzeit innerhalb des Neologismenwörterbuches sowie von diesem auf die Wörterbücher des Portals OWID und auf andere elektronische Wörterbücher gesetzt werden. Am Beispiel der Wortartikel Adresse und Klammeraffe, die sowohl im Neologismen- als auch im elexiko-Wörterbuch ausgearbeitet vorliegen, werden Überlegungen hinsichtlich der geplanten Verknüpfung zwischen Wortartikeln mit gleichlautenden Stichwörtern angestellt. Sie betreffen insbesondere die Lesarten und ihre Etikettierung sowie die Verlinkung von sinnverwandten Wörtern. Eine Verständigung darüber kann dazu beitragen, dem jeweiligen Projektkonzept besser gerecht zu werden und die Darstellung eindeutiger und damit letztlich auch benutzerfreundlicher zu machen.Comparing the print version of the Dictionary of Neologisms with the online version of this dictionary, this paper shows which novel possibilities of usage are allowed by the online version and which links it includes to allow references to other OWID dictionaries as well as to dictionaries which are not part of OWID. On the basis of the dictionary entries for Adresse and Klammeraffe from the Dictionary of Neologisms and the OWID-dictionary elexiko, this paper also demonstrates how entries with similar key words may be linked. Considerations about the linking possibilities planned focus on the representation of the senses of a head word, on how they may be labelled, and on the crosslinking of synonyms. A basic agreement about these issues is likely to contribute to an unambiguous representation of the OWID dictionary projects and to a user-friendly realisation of the dictionaries concerned
