Distributed Relay Selection for Heterogeneous UAV Communication Networks Using A Many-to-Many Matching Game Without Substitutability
This paper proposes a distributed multiple relay selection scheme to maximize
the satisfaction experiences of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV) communication
networks. The multi-radio and multi-channel (MRMC) UAV communication system is
considered in this paper. One source UAV can select one or more relay radios,
and each relay radio can be shared by multiple source UAVs equally. Without the
center controller, source UAVs with heterogeneous requirements compete for
channels dominated by relay radios. In order to optimize the global
satisfaction performance, we model the UAV communication network as a
many-to-many matching market without substitutability. We design a potential
matching approach to address the optimization problem, in which the optimizing
of local matching process will lead to the improvement of global matching
results. Simulation results show that the proposed distributed matching
approach yields good matching performance of satisfaction, which is close to
the global optimum result. Moreover, the many-to-many potential matching
approach outperforms existing schemes sufficiently in terms of global

Dynamic Resource Allocation in Cognitive Radio Networks: A Convex Optimization Perspective
This article provides an overview of the state-of-art results on
communication resource allocation over space, time, and frequency for emerging
cognitive radio (CR) wireless networks. Focusing on the
interference-power/interference-temperature (IT) constraint approach for CRs to
protect primary radio transmissions, many new and challenging problems
regarding the design of CR systems are formulated, and some of the
corresponding solutions are shown to be obtainable by restructuring some
classic results known for traditional (non-CR) wireless networks. It is
demonstrated that convex optimization plays an essential role in solving these
problems, in a both rigorous and efficient way. Promising research directions
on interference management for CR and other related multiuser communication

Channels Reallocation In Cognitive Radio Networks Based On DNA Sequence Alignment
Nowadays, It has been shown that spectrum scarcity increased due to
tremendous growth of new players in wireless base system by the evolution of
the radio communication. Resent survey found that there are many areas of the
radio spectrum that are occupied by authorized user/primary user (PU), which
are not fully utilized. Cognitive radios (CR) prove to next generation wireless
communication system that proposed as a way to reuse this under-utilised
spectrum in an opportunistic and non-interfering basis. A CR is a self-directed
entity in a wireless communications environment that senses its environment,
tracks changes, and reacts upon its findings and frequently exchanges
information with the networks for secondary user (SU). However, CR facing
collision problem with tracks changes i.e. reallocating of other empty channels
for SU while PU arrives. In this paper, channels reallocation technique based

The Bus Goes Wireless: Routing-Free Data Collection with QoS Guarantees in Sensor Networks
Abstract—We present the low-power wireless bus (LWB), a new communication paradigm for QoS-aware data collection in lowpower sensor networks. The LWB maps all communication onto network floods by using Glossy, an efficient flooding architecture for wireless sensor networks. Therefore, unlike current solutions, the LWB requires no information of the network topology, and inherently supports networks with mobile nodes and multiple data sinks. A LWB prototype implemented in Contiki guarantees bounded end-to-end communication delay and duplicate-free, inorder packet delivery—key QoS requirements in many control and mission-critical applications. Experiments on two testbeds demonstrate that the LWB prototype outperforms state-of-theart data collection and link layer protocols, in terms of reliability and energy efficiency. For instance, we measure an average radio duty cycle of 1.69 % and an overall data yield of 99.97 % in a typical data collection scenario with 85 sensor nodes on Twist. I
