    Bibliometric analysis of quality function deployment with fuzzy systems

    Research on quality function deployment (QFD) with fuzzy systems has increased since the 2000s. The growing number of QFD applications with fuzzy systems indicates worldwide attention on this field of research. Then, two research questions arise: Are there some trends? And, are there some research gaps? This paper presents bibliometric analysis to answer those questions, performed on data from Scopus database, in a total output of 598 documents. Only articles and reviews were searched. China is the leading country in publication and international collaboration (207 published documents, more than a third of total). The main finding of analysis is the trend of QFD integration with fuzzy and multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) methods.     Solving construction project selection problem by a new uncertain weighting and ranking based on compromise solution with linear assignment approach

    Selecting a suitable construction project is a significant issue for contractors to decrease their costs. In real cases, the imprecise and uncertain information lead to decisions made based on vagueness.  Fuzzy sets theory could help decision makers (DMs) to address incomplete information. However, this article develops a new integrated multi-criteria group decision-making model based on compromise solution and linear assignment approaches with interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets (IVIFSs). IVIFSs by presenting a membership and non-membership degree for each candidate based on appraisement criteria could decrease the vagueness of selection decisions. The proposed algorithm involves a new decision process under uncertain conditions to determine the importance of criteria and DMs, separately. In this regard, no subjective or additional information is needed for this process; only the input information required is an alternative assessment matric. In this approach, weights of criteria and DMs are specified based on novel indexes to increase the reliability of obtained results. In this respect, the criteria’ weights are computed regarding entropy concepts. The basis for calculating the weight of each DM is the distance between each DM and an average of the DMs’ community.     Neutrosophy (1995) is a new branch of philosophy that studies triads of the form (, , ), where is an entity {i.e. element, concept, idea, theory, logical proposition, etc.}, is the opposite of , while is the neutral (or indeterminate) between them, i.e., neither nor .Based on neutrosophy, the neutrosophic triplets were founded, which have a similar form (x, neut(x), anti(x)), that satisfy several axioms, for each element x in a given set.This collective book presents original research papers by many neutrosophic researchers from around the world, that report on the state-of-the-art and recent advancements of neutrosophic triplets, neutrosophic duplets, neutrosophic multisets and their algebraic structures – that have been defined recently in 2016 but have gained interest from world researchers.     The Interval-Valued Intuitionistic Fuzzy MULTIMOORA Method for Group Decision Making in Engineering

    Multiple criteria decision making methods have received different extensions under the uncertain environment in recent years. The aim of the current research is to extend the application of the MULTIMOORA method (Multiobjective Optimization by Ratio Analysis plus Full Multiplicative Form) for group decision making in the uncertain environment. Taking into account the advantages of IVIFS (interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy sets) in handling the problem of uncertainty, the development of the interval-valued intuitionistic fuzzy MULTIMOORA (IVIF-MULTIMOORA) method for group decision making is considered in the paper. Two numerical examples of real-world civil engineering problems are presented, and ranking of the alternatives based on the suggested method is described. The results are then compared to the rankings yielded by some other methods of decision making with IVIF information. The comparison has shown the conformity of the proposed IVIF-MULTIMOORA method with other approaches. The proposed algorithm is favorable because of the abilities of IVIFS to be used for imagination of uncertainty and the MULTIMOORA method to consider three different viewpoints in analyzing engineering decision alternatives

    Weight Analysis for Multiattribute Group Decision-Making with Interval Grey Numbers Based on Decision-Makers’ Psychological Criteria

    open access articleTo address the problem of multiattribute group decision-making with interval grey numbers, decision matrices are adjusted using kernels of interval grey numbers to reduce the psychological effects of decision-makers. The comprehensive weights of attributes are obtained by aggregating the subjective weights with objective weights, which are calculated based on the accuracy and difference of attributes. Considering the consistent, best, and worst decision-making abilities of decision-makers, grey incidence models are established to obtain the consistency weights and individual bipolar weights of decision-makers; then, the comprehensive weights of decision-makers are determined. A clustering approach of interval grey numbers is presented, and overall evaluations are obtained. Finally, an example is provided and its validity is tested to verify the feasibility of the proposed method

    An overview of fuzzy techniques in supply chain management: bibliometrics, methodologies, applications and future directions

    Every practice in supply chain management (SCM) requires decision making. However, due to the complexity of evaluated objects and the cognitive limitations of individuals, the decision information given by experts is often fuzzy, which may make it difficult to make decisions. In this regard, many scholars applied fuzzy techniques to solve decision making problems in SCM. Although there were review papers about either fuzzy methods or SCM, most of them did not use bibliometrics methods or did not consider fuzzy sets theory-based techniques comprehensively in SCM. In this paper, for the purpose of analyzing the advances of fuzzy techniques in SCM, we review 301 relevant papers from 1998 to 2020. By the analyses in terms of bibliometrics, methodologies and applications, publication trends, popular methods such as fuzzy MCDM methods, and hot applications such as supplier selection, are found. Finally, we propose future directions regarding fuzzy techniques in SCM. It is hoped that this paper would be helpful for scholars and practitioners in the field of fuzzy decision making and SCM

    The application of z-numbers in fuzzy decision making: The state of the art

    A Z-number is very powerful in describing imperfect information, in which fuzzy numbers are paired such that the partially reliable information is properly processed. During a decision-making process, human beings always use natural language to describe their preferences, and the decision information is usually imprecise and partially reliable. The nature of the Z-number, which is composed of the restriction and reliability components, has made it a powerful tool for depicting certain decision information. Its strengths and advantages have attracted many researchers worldwide to further study and extend its theory and applications. The current research trend on Z-numbers has shown an increasing interest among researchers in the fuzzy set theory, especially its application to decision making. This paper reviews the application of Z-numbers in decision making, in which previous decision-making models based on Z-numbers are analyzed to identify their strengths and contributions. The decision making based on Z-numbers improves the reliability of the decision information and makes it more meaningful. Another scope that is closely related to decision making, namely, the ranking of Z-numbers, is also reviewed. Then, the evaluative analysis of the Z-numbers is conducted to evaluate the performance of Z-numbers in decision making. Future directions and recommendations on the applications of Z-numbers in decision making are provided at the end of this review
