    Internet of things security implementation using blockchain for wireless technology

    Blockchain is a new security system which group many data into a block or so called classifying the data into a block. The block can have many types and each of them content data and security code. By using a decentralize mechanism, one security code protect all the data. That could happen at the server. In this research, a network of wireless sensor technology is proposed. The transmission of sensor data is via the Internet of things (Internet of Thing) technology. As many data transmitted, they have to classified and group them into a block. All the blocks are then send to the central processing unit, like a microcontroller. The block of data is then processed, identified and encrypted before send over the internet network. At the receiver, a GUI or Apps is developed to open and view the data. The Apps or GUI have an encrypted data or security code. User must key in the password before they can view the data. The password used by the end user at the Apps or GUI must be equivalent to the one encrypted at the sensor nodes. This is to satisfy the decentralized concept used in the Blockchain. To demonstrate the Blockchain technology applied to the wireless sensor network, a MATLAB Simulink function is used. The expected results should show a number of block of data in cryptography manner and chain together. The two set of data. Both have the data encrypted using hash. The black dots indicate the data has been encrypted whereas the white dot indicate indicates the data is not encrypted. The half white and half black indicates the data is in progress of encrypted. All this data should arrange in cryptography order and chain together in a vertical line. A protocol called block and chain group the data into the block and then chain then. The data appears in the blocks and send over the network. As seen in the simulation results, the yellow color represents the user data. This data has a default amplitude as 1 or 5.     AbstractThe investment climate is influenced by different factors: political, economic, social, juridical, ecological, etc. In the modern fast-changing technological world the favourable character of region's investment climate to the great extent depends on the quality of labour resources and investment in human capital that is ensured by formal education and continuous rise of person's professional level. In last decades, information-educational factors, namely, scholarship and the ability to use knowledge as an economic advantage became the key component of the investment climate. Primarily these factors significantly form the potential of enterprises and the potential of the region in general.The aim of the present article is to define how the heads of enterprises evaluate the significance of employees’ education in circumstances of external environment factors’ influence (which in its turn characterizes the investment climate) on the example of enterprises in Eastern Latvia

    This paper is about knowledge management (KM) in Aircraft Engineering (AE). This industry is highly technology dependant; thus, enhanced KM in AE is a key success factor. This paper analyses KM literature, and offers insights into the existing KM practices in AE using a case study in the Saudi Arabian Aviation industry (SAAI). The KM practices were ascertained by interviewing senior aircraft engineers as well as through observations during one of the author's 6-year employment as aircraft engineer in the SAAI. Synthesis of these results with the KM literature identified gaps between the KM theory and current practices in AE. Finally, an operations-based knowledge management (OBKM) system framework was developed to address these gaps and overcome ineffectiveness in current practices

    An investigation on the effect of organizational culture on knowledge management implementation

    This study was conducted to evaluate the effect of organizational culture on knowledge management implementation. The proposed study designed a questionnaire and distributed it among individuals 370 managers and employees of GOLDIRAN, an official agent of Korean firm named LG in Iran. The results of this study show that there were positive and meaningful relationships among 4 variables including adaptability, involvement, mission, stability in this firm. Based on the organizational cultures to component development, Stability) maintains the highest average (3.5984), and involvement maintains the lowest average (3.3871)

    Knowledge management and the increase of SME competitiveness: a case study

    The need to enhance the competitiveness and innovation capacity of small and medium enterprises is one of the key objectives of emerging EU economies. In this regard, the authors define the role of knowledge in enhancing business competitiveness in a regional economy. The effect of knowledge management processes on the economic activity of businesses in the Latvian region of Latgale is considered. To assess the role of knowledge and knowledge management processes, the authors apply integrated metrics calculated with the help of correlation analysis based on a 2013 survey of managers and staff of SMEs in Latgale. An assessment of the role of knowledge and knowledge management processes in SMEs of Latgale region using the SPSS programme shows that the knowledge and experience of employees have is at an average level of development - from 2.9 to 3.6 on a 5 point scale. It suggests the possibility of that the processes of knowledge management are not used to their full capacity at the regional small and medium-sized businesses; therefore, there is untapped potential for enhancing the competitiveness of these enterprises. The study emphaisises the need for regional businesses to interpret new knowledge as a key value for developing the competitive and innovative potential

    A Framework to support aerospace knowledge transfer to developing countries via collaborative projects

    There are economic, strategic and technological needs for establishing a national aerospace sector in many developing countries. This is to support the growing demands for aerospace related products and to encourage international collaborations. International collaboration projects can cost billions of US dollars, but provide opportunities to access and gain aerospace knowledge in terms of skills, technologies and infrastructure related to the purchased aerospace systems. While there are several options for international technology transfer, there are currently no effective approaches, specifically in aerospace knowledge transfer, for international collaboration projects between developed and developing countries. There is a need for a specific framework to guide developing countries in this task and to overcome different transfer challenges. This paper presents an aerospace knowledge transfer framework (Aero-KT) to effectively manage knowledge transfer into developing countries during international aerospace collaboration projects

    The indirect impacts of management support and commitment on knowledge management systems (KMS) adoption: evidence from Malaysian Technology Industries

    The study investigates the impacts of management support and commitment on the adoption of knowledge management systems (KMS) in Malaysian technology industries. By analysing data from a survey of 108 managers across the Malaysian technology industries, the study contributes to the KMS adoption literature by empirically establishing the indirect impacts of organisations’ management support and commitment through the mediations of other organisational elements. First of all, the results suggest that the effects of management support and commitment are only indirect through the mediation of other variables, namely knowledge classification and knowledge sharing culture. Moreover, knowledge classification has a positive influence on perceived benefits, which is a determinant of KMS adoption. Second, even though management support and commitment has a positive impact on rewards and incentives, and policy and procedures, the findings indicate that these organisational elements did not have any influence on KMS adoption. However, policies and procedures did influence perceived ease of use, which is a determinant of perceived benefits. The theoretical and practical implications of these findings are discussed
