    Get PDF
With the development of computer technologies, the meaning invested in the notion of an information system changed. A modern information system is a set of information technologies aimed at supporting the life cycle of information and includes three main processes: data processing, information management and knowledge management. In conditions of a sharp increase in the volume of information, the transition to work with knowledge based on artificial intelligence is, in all probability, the only alternative to the information society

The pattern of the use of remittances which is more dominant in consumptive spending indicates that the families of TKI haven’t been able to manage finances properly and correctly. Therefore, the financial management of family migrant workers is an interesting problem to study using various scientific perspectives. This study aims to analyze the effect of financial attitude, financial knowledge, financial self-efficacy, locus of control, personality traits, and spiritual intelligence on financial management behavior of TKI families in Ponorogo Regency. The sampling technique used purposive sampling method with a sample size of 220 respondents. The object of this research is the Ponorogo community who are at least 18 years old and receive remittances from their families who work abroad. Data was collected using a research questionnaire, then analyzed by multiple linear regression analysis using IBM SPSS 23.The results showed financial attitude, financial knowledge, financial self-efficacy, locus of control, personality traits and spiritual intelligence variables simultaneously influenced the financial management behavior of TKI families in Ponorogo Regency. Partially, financial attitude doesn’t affect the financial management behavior. Financial knowledge variables have an influence on the financial management behavior of TKI families in Ponorogo district. The better financial knowledge of a person, the more effective the behavior of managing finances. Financial self-efficacy don’t affect the financial management behavior. Dissertation presented as the partial requirement for obtaining a Master's degree in Information Management, specialization in Knowledge Management and Business IntelligenceIn a highly turbulent competitive environment, organisations are increasingly advised to stay agile in order to quickly adapt to threats and opportunities. To do so, competitive intelligence is of the most relevance, but as this work shows, it is apparent that the competitive intelligence field must adapt to the changing environment as well. Drawing up on various literature and the insights and knowledge from experienced executives and CI professionals through in-depth interviews, this work establishes the need for real-time competitive intelligence and how it can improve decision-making in organisations. It finds that real-time CI can contribute to a competitive advantage by enabling highly informed and timely decisionmaking in organisations and provide immense value for companies’ performance

Automated Generation of Geometric Theorems from Images of Diagrams

We propose an approach to generate geometric theorems from electronic images of diagrams automatically. The approach makes use of techniques of Hough transform to recognize geometric objects and their labels and of numeric verification to mine basic geometric relations. Candidate propositions are generated from the retrieved information by using six strategies and geometric theorems are obtained from the candidates via algebraic computation. Experiments with a preliminary implementation illustrate the effectiveness and efficiency of the proposed approach for generating nontrivial theorems from images of diagrams. This work demonstrates the feasibility of automated discovery of profound geometric knowledge from simple image data and has potential applications in geometric knowledge management and education.Comment: 31 pages. The main purpose of present work is to inquire the range of implementation an effective use of Competitive Intelligence Systems in the andalusian plastics industry linked to the agrifood industry of the region. This research seeks the model generalization of how CI Systems asses the generation of the competitive advantage and how they become an essential tool of new products creation, as well as the insfruments of the productive processes planning and management in the industrial organization. Through the case study of 5 big andalusian plastics companies and currently in phase of extending the analysis to whole branch with the DELPHI method, the research intends to contribute to comprehend how the internal systems of Technology Watch and Competitive Intelligence impact directly (measured short-term and long- term) on degree of competitiveness and innovating potential of the industrial companies. These systems can become tools of internal knowledge generation and means of feedback to R&D management systems, being able to provide answers to new emergent consumption trends, new product demands and any advances in technologies of materials or manufacturing.Comunicación presentada dentro del Congreso “III International Forum on Management”.
