    Estudio intra- e interlingüístico de la variación denominativa en el lenguaje de la biomedicina: las células madre

    El objetivo general de esta investigación ha sido describir y contrastar las variantes de los términos clave en el subcampo de las células madre en diferentes registros (experto—experto y divulgativo) y lenguas: la española y la inglesa. Para tal descripción y contraste hemos utilizado un corpus comparable formado por cuatro subcorpus en base a los registros y lenguas contemplados. Los criterios para la metodología de análisis de cada subcorpus han sido: obtención de frecuencia y distribución de los candidatos a términos, selección de los términos clave, atención a los marcadores discursivos de reformulación que señalan variantes denominativas y detección de los colocativos de los términos clave y de las variantes denominativas. Posteriormente, realizamos una comparación intralingüística y otra interlingüística. El estudio de las variantes de los términos clave biomédicos ha servido para determinar las denominaciones alternativas apropiadas para un mismo concepto en cada registro y en las dos lenguas.Departamento de Filología Ingles
