The �existence, �ubiquity �and �remarkable �dynamics �of �business �groups �in � emerging �markets �has �stimulated �a �large �amount �of �research, �which �has �investigated �the � reasons �for �the �emergence �of �groups, �their �ownership �structure, �their �differentiation � and �vertical �integration �patterns, �and �their �economic �performance. �However, �there �is � still �more �limited �evidence �about �business �groups� �strategies, �i.e. �how �groups �organize � their �business �activities �and �what �makes �them �more � (or �less) �successful �than � independent �enterprises. �This �Special �Issue �collects �new �research �on �economic �groups � network �and �internationalization �strategies

Can We Bridge the Gap? Mathematics and the Life Sciences, Part 1–Calculus-Based Modules, Programs, Curricula

This editorial serves as an introduction to Part 1 of the Special Issue Mathematics and the Life Sciences–a collection of articles showcasing ideas, examples, pedagogical frameworks, and curricular materials aiming to bridge the stubbornly persistent gap at the undergraduate level between the mathematical and the life sciences. The special issue features authors from public and private institutions of diverse types, sizes, and geographic locations: community colleges, liberal arts colleges, and research-oriented universities. We hope this special issue will serve as a resource to faculty who seek to make changes to their own course(s) or initiate curriculum reforms at their own schools. Part 1 focuses on educational initiatives that are appropriate for Calculus classes or require calculus as a prerequisite. Part 2 of the special issue features course materials and programs based on discrete mathematics, computational approaches, and statistics. Part 2 also includes articles on internship programs and co-curricular opportunities

Introduction: Trans TV dossier, III: Trans TV re-evaluated, part 2

This is the second more substantial part of the introduction to the final Trans TV special issue, distributed across issues 15.2 and 15.3 of this journal. As well as introducing the contents of this issue, we reflect in this introduction on the Trans TV project as it has developed since 2017, via an engagement with two key televisual texts namely Transparent (2014–2019) and Pose (2018–). We argue that this certainly reflects positive developments in terms of transgender representation and authorship but this progress is more complex when considered in terms of television aesthetics and politics. We also propose, drawing on the work of Koch-Rein et al (2020), a shift form representation towards the concept of ‘transing’ as a reading strategy, and argue that this has been at the heart of the Trans TV project all along

Dynamic perspectives on technology transfer: introduction to the special section

[EN] Theoretical frameworks acknowledge the dynamic and evolving nature of technology transfer. However, there is a scarcity of empirical work in the field incorporating a dynamic and longitudinal perspective. Several literature reviews call for technology transfer research agendas to include longitudinal studies. In response to such calls, this special section comprises selected contributions to the 2018 Technology Transfer Society (T2S) Conference which address this gap from different angles. The three qualitative and three quantitative works chosen contain research questions and methodologies related to dynamic aspects of technology transfer.
