Migrating the Internet to IPv6: An Exploration of the When and Why
The paper documents and to some extent elucidates the progress of IPv6 across major Internet stakeholders since its introduction in the mid 90’s. IPv6 offered an early solution to a well-understood and well-documented problem IPv4 was expected to encounter. In spite of early standardization and awareness of the issue, the Internet’s march to IPv6 has been anything but smooth, even if recent data point to an improvement. The paper documents this progression for several key Internet stakeholders using available measurement data, and identifies changes in the IPv6 ecosystem that may be in part responsible for how it has unfolded. The paper also develops a stylized model of IPv6 adoption across those stakeholders, and validates its qualitative predictive ability by comparing it to measurement data
Significant Feature Identification Mechanism For Ipv6 In Enhancing Intrusion Detection System
Manufacturing complexity has become more challenging with increased in demand fluctuation, product customisation and shorter lead time expectation. It is becoming more crucial to measure manufacturing complexity to better recognise and control the various manufacturing components to achieve optimum manufacturing performance. Cellular manufacturing or group technology is a method used to manage manufacturing complexity based on clustering of different types of equipment to process parts. The organizational structure of cellular manufacturing will always need to be flexible for reconfiguration to address rapid changes in customer requirement especially in managing its dual constraints; human and machine. Very often, the human component is overlooked or overestimated due to poor understanding of the effects of human constraints and lack of study is linked to the difficulty to model human’s behaviour. The purpose of this study is to develop a human system model to fill the gap in the study of human constraints on cellular manufacturing’s performance. As such, a new human system framework focusing on the aspects of human dynamics and attributes was designed to be integrated with the predetermined time standards system in an expert system, eMOST. The new human system model was evaluated for applicability at the actual manufacturing environment through five case studies where accurate labour utilisation and man-machine configuration information were conceived. Thus, the newly defined approach was able to efficiently improve data capture, analysis and model human constraints. The human information from the model was integrated with other manufacturing resources using WITNESS simulation modelling tool focusing on the bottleneck area to further evaluate the dynamic impact of these components on the manufacturing performance. Simulation modelling experiments use has also proven advantageous to change manufacturing configurations and run alternative scenarios to improve the efficiency of the system in terms of the throughput, cycle time, operator utilisation and man-machine configuration. The findings of this study enabled the management to make good decisions to efficiently manage the human resource and better predictions to reconfigure and competently manage resources allocation
Research on the development of carrier intelligent cloud network under the background of IPv6+
With the increasingly mature 5G technology in our country, the government has comprehensively promoted IPv6 scale
deployment, the rapid improvement of network quality of the three operators, and gradually transformed to IPv6+, the carrying network is
more fl exible, and the user opening service is more convenient, which has promoted the development of intelligent cloud network of China’s
carriers. Operators should actively respond to the challenges of IPv6+ era, based on their own intelligent cloud network development needs,
the use of SRv6 technology, promote cloud network integration, carrying a variety of online services; Provide integrated cloud network
products and services, build an intelligent operation and maintenance system, and improve user satisfaction; To build IPv6 networking
capability of the whole network and build intelligent cloud network; Do a good job in the construction of IPv6 network information security,
improve the security defense capability of intelligent cloud network, ensure the smooth operation of network, and inject new vitality into the
2B industry market for operators
The MobyDick Project: A Mobile Heterogeneous All-IP Architecture
Proceedings of Advanced Technologies, Applications and Market Strategies for 3G (ATAMS 2001). Cracow, Poland: 17-20 June, 2001.This paper presents the current stage of an IP-based architecture for heterogeneous environments, covering UMTS-like W-CDMA wireless access technology, wireless and wired LANs, that is being developed under the aegis of the IST Moby Dick project. This architecture treats all transmission capabilities as basic physical and data-link layers, and attempts to replace all higher-level tasks by IP-based strategies.
The proposed architecture incorporates aspects of mobile-IPv6, fast handover, AAA-control, and Quality of Service. The architecture allows for an optimised control on the radio link layer resources. The Moby dick architecture is currently under refinement for implementation on field trials. The services planned for trials are data transfer and voice-over-IP.Publicad
A Survey of IPv6 Deployment
The global internetworking (or popular known as Internet) has been very aggressively developed in the last recent years. The technologies of Internet including hardware,
software, and protocols expand drastically years by years. IPv6 as the most popular Internet Protocol for Internet will be the main focused for this research. This future promising Internet Protocol which is going to replace the current Internet Protocol (IPv4) is in the right track with so many researches being carried out. This research focused a survey of IPv6 deployment all over the globe. This research also converge the research and development of IPv6 specifically in Malaysia. Although IPv6 technology is very promising, the deployment and development of IPv6 in Malaysia is quite slow
compare to other countries. As a conclusion, A survey ofII’v6 came out with a suggestion and solution on how to evoke IPv6 technology in Malaysia

Integrating Voice over IP Solution in IPv6 and IPv4 Networks to Increase Employee Productivity: A Case Study of Cameroon Telecommunications (Camtel), North-West
Telecommunications organizations have to follow the rapid innovation of technology if they want to face challenges raised by competition. The challenge to respond to the huge market demand of updated products and services from customers requires that the organization‘s working environment be equipped with tools and communication facilities that contribute to ameliorating productivity. Cameroon Telecommunications (Camtel) is facing a digital telephony and Internet Protocol strategic management challenge. Successful implementation cannot be achieved if the employees are still depending on the ageing public switched telephone network (PSTN) as their primary communication system, despite the frequent loss of dial tone experience in a day which can last up to a week, with serious repercussions on business activities and revenues. This study is designed to provide a solution to the telecommunications challenge. The fundamental question is how to integrate a digital telephony system that will provide telephony services in the existing IPv4 data network while prioritizing IPv6 traffic forwarding. This study proposes and implements solutions that integrate a Voice over IP solution with IPv6 as an alternative communication system that relies on the existing IPv4 data network. VoIP is deemed as one of the driving forces behind the adoption of IPv6. The purpose is to offer to workers an option that will free them from the poor Quality of Service (QoS) of their existing PSTN based solution, hopefully enhancing the overall productivity. This paper follows two research methodologies: Qualitative Research in Applied Situations and Engineering design process. The first part of this study reports the results of the evaluation of how much such a solution can enhance workers’ productivity. As it is important to provide an environment where IPv4 and IPv6 networks and applications/devices can interoperate in the context of VoIP; the second part describes practically a simulation environment where various configurations of network entities are done following a Dual-Stack transition approach. Document and records were used to gather information related to the structure, operations, and topological update of the Camtel’s existing IP data network. The findings demonstrated that VoIP can be an effective communication solution for Camtel and its implementation with IPv6 will be preferable. However, for this to be efficient there must be a provision of sufficient bandwidth and usage of types of equipment and transmission mediums that minimizes processing and propagation delays. Findings also reveal that better productivity will be achieved if workers are fully trained for the exploitation. This research article tries to highlight, discuss a required transition roadmap and extend the local knowledge and practice on IPv6. Future expansion of this research work will consist of deploying Dual-Stack VoIP in the remaining 9 regional offices for full integration in the corporate communication system of Camtel
