Corporation robots
Nowadays, various robots are built to perform multiple tasks. Multiple robots working
together to perform a single task becomes important. One of the key elements for multiple
robots to work together is the robot need to able to follow another robot. This project is
mainly concerned on the design and construction of the robots that can follow line. In this
project, focuses on building line following robots leader and slave. Both of these robots will
follow the line and carry load. A Single robot has a limitation on handle load capacity such as
cannot handle heavy load and cannot handle long size load. To overcome this limitation an
easier way is to have a groups of mobile robots working together to accomplish an aim that
no single robot can do alon
Quality of Information in Mobile Crowdsensing: Survey and Research Challenges
Smartphones have become the most pervasive devices in people's lives, and are
clearly transforming the way we live and perceive technology. Today's
smartphones benefit from almost ubiquitous Internet connectivity and come
equipped with a plethora of inexpensive yet powerful embedded sensors, such as
accelerometer, gyroscope, microphone, and camera. This unique combination has
enabled revolutionary applications based on the mobile crowdsensing paradigm,
such as real-time road traffic monitoring, air and noise pollution, crime
control, and wildlife monitoring, just to name a few. Differently from prior
sensing paradigms, humans are now the primary actors of the sensing process,
since they become fundamental in retrieving reliable and up-to-date information
about the event being monitored. As humans may behave unreliably or
maliciously, assessing and guaranteeing Quality of Information (QoI) becomes
more important than ever. In this paper, we provide a new framework for
defining and enforcing the QoI in mobile crowdsensing, and analyze in depth the
current state-of-the-art on the topic. We also outline novel research

Meta-heuristic algorithms in car engine design: a literature survey
Meta-heuristic algorithms are often inspired by natural phenomena, including the evolution of species in Darwinian natural selection theory, ant behaviors in biology, flock behaviors of some birds, and annealing in metallurgy. Due to their great potential in solving difficult optimization problems, meta-heuristic algorithms have found their way into automobile engine design. There are different optimization problems arising in different areas of car engine management including calibration, control system, fault diagnosis, and modeling. In this paper we review the state-of-the-art applications of different meta-heuristic algorithms in engine management systems. The review covers a wide range of research, including the application of meta-heuristic algorithms in engine calibration, optimizing engine control systems, engine fault diagnosis, and optimizing different parts of engines and modeling. The meta-heuristic algorithms reviewed in this paper include evolutionary algorithms, evolution strategy, evolutionary programming, genetic programming, differential evolution, estimation of distribution algorithm, ant colony optimization, particle swarm optimization, memetic algorithms, and artificial immune system
Urban and extra-urban hybrid vehicles: a technological review
Pollution derived from transportation systems is a worldwide, timelier issue than ever. The abatement actions of harmful substances in the air are on the agenda and they are necessary today to safeguard our welfare and that of the planet. Environmental pollution in large cities is approximately 20% due to the transportation system. In addition, private traffic contributes greatly to city pollution. Further, “vehicle operating life” is most often exceeded and vehicle emissions do not comply with European antipollution standards. It becomes mandatory to find a solution that respects the environment and, realize an appropriate transportation service to the customers. New technologies related to hybrid –electric engines are making great strides in reducing emissions, and the funds allocated by public authorities should be addressed. In addition, the use
(implementation) of new technologies is also convenient from an economic point of view. In fact, by implementing the use of hybrid vehicles, fuel consumption can be reduced. The different hybrid configurations presented refer to such a series architecture, developed by the researchers and Research and Development groups. Regarding energy flows, different strategy logic or vehicle management units have been illustrated. Various configurations and vehicles were studied by simulating different driving cycles, both European approval and homologation and customer ones (typically municipal and university). Algebraic observer design for PEM fuel cell system

The aim of the proposed observer is to reconstruct the oxygen excess ratio through estimation of their relevant states in real time from the measurement of the supply manifold air pressure. A robust differentiation method is adopted to estimate in finite-time the time derivative of the supply manifold air pressure. Then, the relevant states are reconstructed based on the output-state inversion model. The objective is to minimize the use of extra sensors in order to reduce the costs and enhance the system accuracy. The performance of the proposed observer is analyzed through simulations considering measurement noise and different stack-current variations. The results show that the algebraic observer estimates in finite time and robustly the oxygen-excess ratio.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft
Towards a cyber physical system for personalised and automatic OSA treatment
Obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) is a breathing disorder that takes place in the course of the sleep and is produced by a complete or a partial obstruction of the upper airway that manifests itself as frequent breathing stops and starts during the sleep. The real-time evaluation of whether or not a patient is undergoing OSA episode is a very important task in medicine in many scenarios, as for example for making instantaneous pressure adjustments that should take place when Automatic Positive Airway Pressure (APAP) devices are used during the treatment of OSA. In this paper the design of a possible Cyber Physical System (CPS) suited to real-time monitoring of OSA is described, and its software architecture and possible hardware sensing components are detailed. It should be emphasized here that this paper does not deal with a full CPS, rather with a software part of it under a set of assumptions on the environment. The paper also reports some preliminary experiments about the cognitive and learning capabilities of the designed CPS involving its use on a publicly available sleep apnea database
Comparison of decision-making approaches to prioritization of clean air action plans for sustainable development
Background: Clean air action plans have been prepared and are still being implemented in Turkey to
control and prevent air pollution, and improve the air quality. The plans reveal a picture of the current
situation and available inventory information. However, in order to implement the identified plans in
real life, they need to be prioritized. This study aimed to identify and prioritize clean air action plans for
Turkey using a framework of both fuzzy and crisp evaluations.
Methods: In this study, priorities of the plans were identified and analyzed with a decision-making
model. A three-step research methodology was provided. First, literature was reviewed regarding
sustainable development and action plans. Second, in order to narrow and specify action plans, the
nominal group technique (NGT) was implemented. Finally, fuzzy analytic hierarchy process (AHP) and
best-worst method (BWM) surveys were applied to environmental engineers and experts working on
sustainable development to prioritize the action plans.
Results: It was revealed that heating dimension is considered as the most important criterion with the
weight of 0.7469 in fuzzy AHP and 0.758 in BWM. AP1 with a weight of 0.3356 in fuzzy AHP and AP3
with a weight of 0.3289 in BWM were the most important sub-criteria, which are the plans for reducing
coal use ranked at the forefront in reducing air pollution.
Conclusion: According to the results, there is no significant difference in the priority ranking results. The
results of fuzzy AHP and BWM are very similar. For example, traffic criterion has the best performance
in both methods in the evaluation of decision makers. In addition, the main and sub-criteria with the
lowest priority are the same in these two methods.
