    This paper is concerned with the nonfragile H∞ control problem for stochastic systems with Markovian jumping parameters and random packet losses. The communication between the physical plant and controller is assumed to be imperfect, where random packet losses phenomenon occurs in a random way. Such a phenomenon is represented by a stochastic variable satisfying the Bernoulli distribution. The purpose is to design a nonfragile controller such that the resulting closed-loop system is stochastically mean square stable with a guaranteed H∞ performance level γ. By using the Lyapunov function approach, some sufficient conditions for the solvability of the previous problem are proposed in terms of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs), and a corresponding explicit parametrization of the desired controller is given. Finally, an example illustrating the effectiveness of the proposed approach is presented

    A survey on gain-scheduled control and filtering for parameter-varying systems

First of all, we recall several important algorithms suitable for gain-scheduling method including gain-scheduled proportional-integral derivative (PID) control, H 2, H ∞ and mixed H 2 / H ∞ gain-scheduling methods as well as fuzzy gain-scheduling techniques. Secondly, various important parameter-varying system models are reviewed, for which gain-scheduled control and filtering issues are usually dealt with. In particular, in view of the randomly occurring phenomena with time-varying probability distributions, some results of our recent work based on the probability-dependent gain-scheduling methods are reviewed. Furthermore, some latest progress in this area is discussed.     A Survey on Multisensor Fusion and Consensus Filtering for Sensor Networks

    Multisensor fusion and consensus filtering are two fascinating subjects in the research of sensor networks. In this survey, we will cover both classic results and recent advances developed in these two topics. First, we recall some important results in the development ofmultisensor fusion technology. Particularly, we pay great attention to the fusion with unknown correlations, which ubiquitously exist in most of distributed filtering problems. Next, we give a systematic review on several widely used consensus filtering approaches. Furthermore, some latest progress on multisensor fusion and consensus filtering is also presented.     This paper investigates the problem of robust H∞ fault detection for networked Markov jump systems with random time-delay which is introduced by the network. The random time-delay is modeled as a Markov process, and the networked Markov jump systems are modeled as control systems containing two Markov chains. The delay-dependent fault detection filter is constructed. Furthermore, the sufficient and necessary conditions which make the closed-loop system stochastically stable and achieve prescribed H∞ performance are derived. The method of calculating controller, fault detection filter gain matrices, and the minimal H∞ attenuation level is also obtained. Finally, one numerical example is used to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method

    Non-fragile state estimation for discrete Markovian jumping neural networks

    In this paper, the non-fragile state estimation problem is investigated for a class of discrete-time neural networks subject to Markovian jumping parameters and time delays. In terms of a Markov chain, the mode switching phenomenon at different times is considered in both the parameters and the discrete delays of the neural networks. To account for the possible gain variations occurring in the implementation, the gain of the estimator is assumed to be perturbed by multiplicative norm-bounded uncertainties. We aim to design a non-fragile state estimator such that, in the presence of all admissible gain variations, the estimation error converges to zero exponentially. By adopting the Lyapunov–Krasovskii functional and the stochastic analysis theory, sufficient conditions are established to ensure the existence of the desired state estimator that guarantees the stability of the overall estimation error dynamics. The explicit expression of such estimators is parameterized by solving a convex optimization problem via the semi-definite programming method. A numerical simulation example is provided to verify the usefulness of the proposed methods

    Guaranteed Cost Control for Multirate Networked Control Systems with Both Time-Delay and Packet-Dropout

    Compared with traditional networked control systems, the sampling rates of the nodes are not the same in the multirate networked control systems (NCSs). This paper presents a new stabilization method for multirate NCSs. A multirate NCSs with simultaneous considering time-delay and packet-dropout is modeled as a time-varying sampling system with time-delay. The proposed Lyapunov function deceases at each input signal updating point, which is largely ignored in prior works. Sufficient condition for the stochastic mean-square stability of the multirate NCSs is given, and the cost function value is less than a bound. Numerical examples are presented to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control scheme

    Resilient Finite-Time Controller Design of a Class of Stochastic Nonlinear Systems

    This paper deals with the problem of resilient finite-time control for a class of stochastic nonlinear systems. The notion of finite-time annular domain stability of stochastic nonlinear systems is first introduced. Then, some sufficient conditions are given for the existence of resilient state feedback finite-time annular domain stabilizing controller, which are expressed in terms of matrix inequalities. A double-parameter searching algorithm is proposed to solve these obtained matrix inequalities. Finally, an example is given to illustrate the effectiveness of the developed method
