    Stability analysis of impulsive stochastic Cohenā€“Grossberg neural networks with mixed time delays

The official published version can be obtained from the link - Copyright 2008 Elsevier LtdIn this paper, the problem of stability analysis for a class of impulsive stochastic Cohenā€“Grossberg neural networks with mixed delays is considered. The mixed time delays comprise both the time-varying and infinite distributed delays. By employing a combination of the M-matrix theory and stochastic analysis technique, a sufficient condition is obtained to ensure the existence, uniqueness, and exponential p-stability of the equilibrium point for the addressed impulsive stochastic Cohenā€“Grossberg neural network with mixed delays. The proposed method, which does not make use of the Lyapunov functional, is shown to be simple yet effective for analyzing the stability of impulsive or stochastic neural networks with variable and/or distributed delays. We then extend our main results to the case where the parameters contain interval uncertainties. Moreover, the exponential convergence rate index is estimated, which depends on the system parameters.     Time-delayed impulsive control for discrete-time nonlinear systems with actuator saturation

    This paper focuses on the problem of time-delayed impulsive control with actuator saturation for discrete-time dynamical systems. By establishing a delayed impulsive difference inequality, combining with convex analysis and inequality techniques, some sufficient conditions are obtained to ensure exponential stability for discrete-time dynamical systems via time-delayed impulsive controller with actuator saturation. The designed controller admits the existence of some transmission delays in impulsive feedback law, and the control input variables are required to stay within an availability zone. Several numerical simulations are also given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results.&nbsp

    State Estimation for Discrete-Time Fuzzy Cellular Neural Networks with Mixed Time Delays

    This paper is concerned with the exponential state estimation problem for a class of discrete-time fuzzy cellular neural networks with mixed time delays. The main purpose is to estimate the neuron states through available output measurements such that the dynamics of the estimation error is globally exponentially stable. By constructing a novel Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional which contains a triple summation term, some sufficient conditions are derived to guarantee the existence of the state estimator. The linear matrix inequality approach is employed for the first time to deal with the fuzzy cellular neural networks in the discrete-time case. Compared with the present conditions in the form of M-matrix, the results obtained in this paper are less conservative and can be checked readily by the MATLAB toolbox. Finally, some numerical examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed results

    Restrictions and Stability of Time-Delayed Dynamical Networks

    This paper deals with the global stability of time-delayed dynamical networks. We show that for a time-delayed dynamical network with non-distributed delays the network and the corresponding non-delayed network are both either globally stable or unstable. We demonstrate that this may not be the case if the network's delays are distributed. The main tool in our analysis is a new procedure of dynamical network restrictions. This procedure is useful in that it allows for improved estimates of a dynamical network's global stability. Moreover, it is a computationally simpler and much more effective means of analyzing the stability of dynamical networks than the procedure of isospectral network expansions introduced in [Isospectral graph transformations, spectral equivalence, and global stability of dynamical networks. Nonlinearity, 25 (2012) 211-254]. The effectiveness of our approach is illustrated by applications to various classes of Cohen-Grossberg neural networks.Comment: 32 pages, 9 figure
