Romans 8:1-11 ; Contains German text and trans of motet, Jesus Meine Freude by J S Bach. Cultural reception of the Gospel, edt by T Hegedus

On singular limits arising in the scale analysis of stratified fluid flows
We study the low Mach low Freude numbers limit in the compressible
Navier-Stokes equations and the transport equation for evolution of an entropy
variable -- the potential temperature . We consider the case of
well-prepared initial data on "flat" tours and Reynolds number tending to
infinity, and the case of ill-prepared data on an infinite slab. In both cases,
we show that the weak solutions to the primitive system converge to the
solution to the anelastic Navier-Stokes system and the transport equation for
the second order variation of Comment: 25 page

Adaptive Wavelet Collocation Method for Simulation of Time Dependent Maxwell's Equations
This paper investigates an adaptive wavelet collocation time domain method
for the numerical solution of Maxwell's equations. In this method a
computational grid is dynamically adapted at each time step by using the
wavelet decomposition of the field at that time instant. In the regions where
the fields are highly localized, the method assigns more grid points; and in
the regions where the fields are sparse, there will be less grid points. On the
adapted grid, update schemes with high spatial order and explicit time stepping
are formulated. The method has high compression rate, which substantially
reduces the computational cost allowing efficient use of computational
resources. This adaptive wavelet collocation method is especially suitable for
simulation of guided-wave optical devices
Silicon-Organic Hybrid (SOH) and Plasmonic-Organic Hybrid (POH) integration
Silicon photonics offers tremendous potential for inexpensive high-yield photonic-electronic integration. Besides conventional dielectric waveguides, plasmonic structures can also be efficiently realized on the silicon photonic platform, reducing device footprint by more than an order of magnitude. However, nei-ther silicon nor metals exhibit appreciable second-order optical nonlinearities, thereby making efficient electro-optic modulators challenging to realize. These deficiencies can be overcome by the concepts of silicon-organic hybrid (SOH) and plasmonic-organic hybrid integration, which combine SOI waveguides and plasmonic nanostructures with organic electro-optic cladding materials
Analysis of Intra-Household Allocation: Implications for the Nutritional Well-being of Women and Children
DAC-Less amplifier-less generation and transmission of QAM signals using sub-volt silicon-organic hybrid modulators
We demonstrate generation and transmission of optical signals by directly interfacing highly efficient silicon-organic hybrid (SOH) modulators to binary output ports of a field-programmable gate array. Using an SOH Mach-Zehnder modulator (MZM) and an SOH IQ modulator we generate ON-OFF- keying and binary phase-shift keying signals as well as quadrature phase-shift keying and 16-state quadrature amplitude modulation (16QAM) formats. Peak-to-peak voltages amount to only 0.27 V-pp for driving the MZM and 0.41 V-pp for the IQ modulator. Neither digital-to-analog converters nor drive amplifiers are required, and the RF energy consumption in the modulator amounts to record-low 18 fJ/bit for 16QAM signaling
