Context Based Classification of Reviews Using Association Rule Mining, Fuzzy Logics and Ontology
The Internet has facilitated the growth of recommendation system owing to the ease of sharing customer experiences online. It is a challenging task to summarize and streamline the online textual reviews. In this paper, we propose a new framework called Fuzzy based contextual recommendation system. For classification of customer reviews we extract the information from the reviews based on the context given by users. We use text mining techniques to tag the review and extract context. Then we find out the relationship between the contexts from the ontological database. We incorporate fuzzy based semantic analyzer to find the relationship between the review and the context when they are not found therein. The sentence based classification predicts the relevant reviews, whereas the fuzzy based context method predicts the relevant instances among the relevant reviews. Textual analysis is carried out with the combination of association rules and ontology mining. The relationship between review and their context is compared using the semantic analyzer which is based on the fuzzy rules

LearnFCA: A Fuzzy FCA and Probability Based Approach for Learning and Classification
Formal concept analysis(FCA) is a mathematical theory based on lattice and order theory used for data analysis and knowledge representation. Over the past several years, many of its extensions have been proposed and applied in several domains including data mining, machine learning, knowledge management, semantic web, software development, chemistry ,biology, medicine, data analytics, biology and ontology engineering.
This thesis reviews the state-of-the-art of theory of Formal Concept Analysis(FCA) and its various extensions that have been developed and well-studied in the past several years. We discuss their historical roots, reproduce the original definitions and derivations with illustrative examples. Further, we provide a literature review of it’s applications and various approaches adopted by researchers in the areas of dataanalysis, knowledge management with emphasis to data-learning and classification problems.
We propose LearnFCA, a novel approach based on FuzzyFCA and probability theory for learning and classification problems. LearnFCA uses an enhanced version of FuzzyLattice which has been developed to store class labels and probability vectors and has the capability to be used for classifying instances with encoded and unlabelled features. We evaluate LearnFCA on encodings from three datasets - mnist, omniglot and cancer images with interesting results and varying degrees of success.

Natural Language Processing in-and-for Design Research
We review the scholarly contributions that utilise Natural Language
Processing (NLP) methods to support the design process. Using a heuristic
approach, we collected 223 articles published in 32 journals and within the
period 1991-present. We present state-of-the-art NLP in-and-for design research
by reviewing these articles according to the type of natural language text
sources: internal reports, design concepts, discourse transcripts, technical
publications, consumer opinions, and others. Upon summarizing and identifying
the gaps in these contributions, we utilise an existing design innovation
framework to identify the applications that are currently being supported by
NLP. We then propose a few methodological and theoretical directions for future
NLP in-and-for design research

Data mining by means of generalized patterns
The thesis is mainly focused on the study and the application of pattern discovery algorithms that aggregate database knowledge to discover and exploit valuable correlations, hidden in the analyzed data, at different abstraction levels. The aim of the research effort described in this work is two-fold: the discovery of associations, in the form of generalized patterns, from large data collections and the inference of semantic models, i.e., taxonomies and ontologies, suitable for driving the mining proces
Detecting and predicting the topic change of Knowledge-based Systems: A topic-based bibliometric analysis from 1991 to 2016
© 2017 The journal Knowledge-based Systems (KnoSys) has been published for over 25 years, during which time its main foci have been extended to a broad range of studies in computer science and artificial intelligence. Answering the questions: “What is the KnoSys community interested in?” and “How does such interest change over time?” are important to both the editorial board and audience of KnoSys. This paper conducts a topic-based bibliometric study to detect and predict the topic changes of KnoSys from 1991 to 2016. A Latent Dirichlet Allocation model is used to profile the hotspots of KnoSys and predict possible future trends from a probabilistic perspective. A model of scientific evolutionary pathways applies a learning-based process to detect the topic changes of KnoSys in sequential time slices. Six main research areas of KnoSys are identified, i.e., expert systems, machine learning, data mining, decision making, optimization, and fuzzy, and the results also indicate that the interest of KnoSys communities in the area of computational intelligence is raised, and the ability to construct practical systems through knowledge use and accurate prediction models is highly emphasized. Such empirical insights can be used as a guide for KnoSys submissions
A Multiobjective Evolutionary Conceptual Clustering Methodology for Gene Annotation Within Structural Databases: A Case of Study on the Gene Ontology Database
Current tools and techniques devoted to examine the
content of large databases are often hampered by their inability
to support searches based on criteria that are meaningful to
their users. These shortcomings are particularly evident in data
banks storing representations of structural data such as biological
networks. Conceptual clustering techniques have demonstrated
to be appropriate for uncovering relationships between features
that characterize objects in structural data. However, typical con ceptual clustering approaches normally recover the most obvious
relations, but fail to discover the lessfrequent but more informative
underlying data associations. The combination of evolutionary
algorithms with multiobjective and multimodal optimization
techniques constitutes a suitable tool for solving this problem.
We propose a novel conceptual clustering methodology termed
evolutionary multiobjective conceptual clustering (EMO-CC), re lying on the NSGA-II multiobjective (MO) genetic algorithm. We
apply this methodology to identify conceptual models in struc tural databases generated from gene ontologies. These models
can explain and predict phenotypes in the immunoinflammatory
response problem, similar to those provided by gene expression or
other genetic markers. The analysis of these results reveals that
our approach uncovers cohesive clusters, even those comprising a
small number of observations explained by several features, which
allows describing objects and their interactions from different
perspectives and at different levels of detail.Ministerio de Ciencia y TecnologĂa TIC-2003-00877Ministerio de Ciencia y TecnologĂa BIO2004-0270EMinisterio de Ciencia y TecnologĂa TIN2006-1287
