Durchführung von Digitalisierungsprojekten in Bibliotheken

Der vorliegende Artikel entstand auf Grundlage einer Diplomarbeit, in der ein Konzept fur ein Digitalisierungsprojekt im Ibero-Amerikanischen Institut ent- wickelt wurde. Das Institut plant die Digitalisierung einiger Sammlungen latein- amerikanischer Volksliteratur und Grafik. Auch wenn die Entwicklung momentan noch im Fluss ist, sollen im nachfolgenden Artikel fur Digitalisierungsprojekte wichtige Aspekte wie Vorgange, Techniken und Standards vorgestellt werden, allerdings unter Ausklammerung der umfassenden Themenkomplexe Metadaten und Presentation der fertigen Ergebnisse im Internet

Alte Drucke in neuem Gewand : ein Beispiel für den erfolgreichen Einsatz der freien Digitalisierungsplattform Goobi an der UB Mannheim

Anfang 2012 begann die Universitätsbibliothek Mannheim damit, ihre Alten Drucke und weitere Digitalisate mit Hilfe einer speziellen Software zu erschließen und im Internet zu veröffentlichen. Dabei setzte sie zunächst auf ein kommerzielles Produkt, die Software Visual Library von semantics Kommunikationsmanagement GmbH. 2014 fel die Entscheidung, auf eine freie Softwarelösung zu wechseln. Ende September 2014 ging die freie Digitalisierungsplattform Goobi in den Produktivbetrieb

Bibliotheken im Buch: Die Erschließung von privaten Büchersammlungen der Frühneuzeit über Auktionskataloge

Der Beitrag demonstriert anhand eines Auktionskatalogs von 1670 unser Vorgehen, frühneuzeitliche Gelehrtenbibliotheken bibliographisch nachhaltig zu erschließen. In einem ersten Schritt beschreiben wir die Erfassung der im Katalog verzeichneten Titel. Das Instrument für diesen Arbeitsgang ist eine Excel-Tabelle, die bibliographische Ermittlung erfolgt mit Hilfe nationaler und internationaler Online-Kataloge. Im zweiten Schritt geht es um die Entwicklung der digitalen Infrastruktur für die Onlinepräsentation der Daten. Hierzu wurde ein frei nachnutzbares Programm entwickelt, das für die Rekonstruktion frühneuzeitlicher Privatbibliotheken optimiert ist. Vorgestellt werden die verschiedenen textlichen und graphischen Visualisierungsformen sowie die weitergehenden Einsatzmöglichkeiten als Darstellungs- und Normierungstool für bibliographische Daten. Im dritten Schritt skizzieren wir den absolvierten Workflow und zeigen, wie traditionelle Methoden der Altbestandserschließung mit Verfahren der Digital Humanities kombiniert werden können. Dabei rückt auch die digitale Edition eines Briefwechsels in den Blick, der den Auktionskatalog als Sekundärquelle flankiert

The introduction treats the impresa Albums of Pittoni with regard to the question, „What is an impresa?“. There follows bibliographical information about impresa studies. Once established what an impresa is, there remain other perspectives from which to examine the impresa books of Battista Pittoni. As an introduction, the text considers a variety of topics, including the history of the impresa book; invention and illustration: the parts of Pittoni and of Dolce; Battista Pittoni and his disegno morbido; the importance of Battista Pittoni’s Imprese: beyond emblematics; Pittoni’s Imprese and the arts; artists’s imprese: Titian and Pittoni; architecture in the Imprese; Battista Pittoni and Hieronymus Cock; the decorative imagery of Battista Pittoni; and, in conclusion: the impresa book as a social medium and as a mirror of social, political, and cultural history. Following the introduction is found biographical and bibliographical information about the authors, Lodovico Dolce and Battista Pittoni, and then links to online sources for emblems and imprese. This paper aims to revise and reconstruct the highly corrupt text of Heinrich Isaac’s Marianic motet O decus ecclesiae by examining the only manuscript source anew. It can be demonstrated that the text is written in elegiac distichs and artfully blends Christian ideas and classicising language. It is therefore highly probable that its author was one of the leading humanist poets at the court of Emperor Maximilian I and that the elegy was commissioned for a representative event
