Tripod of Requirements in Horizontal Heterogeneous Mobile Cloud Computing
Recent trend of mobile computing is emerging toward executing
resource-intensive applications in mobile devices regardless of underlying
resource restrictions (e.g. limited processor and energy) that necessitate
imminent technologies. Prosperity of cloud computing in stationary computers
breeds Mobile Cloud Computing (MCC) technology that aims to augment computing
and storage capabilities of mobile devices besides conserving energy. However,
MCC is more heterogeneous and unreliable (due to wireless connectivity) compare
to cloud computing. Problems like variations in OS, data fragmentation, and
security and privacy discourage and decelerate implementation and pervasiveness
of MCC. In this paper, we describe MCC as a horizontal heterogeneous ecosystem
and identify thirteen critical metrics and approaches that influence on
mobile-cloud solutions and success of MCC. We divide them into three major
classes, namely ubiquity, trust, and energy efficiency and devise a tripod of
requirements in MCC. Our proposed tripod shows that success of MCC is
achievable by reducing mobility challenges (e.g. seamless connectivity,
fragmentation), increasing trust, and enhancing energy efficiency
Mobile Cloud Computing Model and Big Data Analysis for Healthcare Applications
Mobile devices are increasingly becoming an indispensable part of people\u27s daily life, facilitating to perform a variety of useful tasks. Mobile cloud computing integrates mobile and cloud computing to expand their capabilities and benefits and overcomes their limitations, such as limited memory, CPU power, and battery life. Big data analytics technologies enable extracting value from data having four Vs: volume, variety, velocity, and veracity. This paper discusses networked healthcare and the role of mobile cloud computing and big data analytics in its enablement. The motivation and development of networked healthcare applications and systems is presented along with the adoption of cloud computing in healthcare. A cloudlet-based mobile cloud-computing infrastructure to be used for healthcare big data applications is described. The techniques, tools, and applications of big data analytics are reviewed. Conclusions are drawn concerning the design of networked healthcare systems using big data and mobile cloud-computing technologies. An outlook on networked healthcare is given
Usability of multimedia-based technology in situational judgment test: literature review and survey on millennial generation
In predicting and determining people's careers, various instrumentation and tools can be used. Instrumentation with descriptive stories and role plays is suitable to describe the conditions and situations of respondents. Situational Judgment Test (SJTs) is one of the tools that are used to see a person's tendency to act in certain situations. The research topic of SJTs is increased in the last few years. Most of them explore and investigate the validity of SJT such as the scoring method. However, only a few topics discuss the form of SJTs tools and questions. This study investigates the benefit of using a computer-based test and exploration of multimedia-based technology to enhance SJT. This study examines kinds of literature about SJTs topic and discusses related technology in STJs nowadays. This study also analyses what various parameters of digital media like a type of media and device, affection of sounds in the
video, the user experience with media, and duration of video are the parameter. This research also collects 209 respondents to find out interaction between millennial generations and multimedia nowadays. The aim of this paper is to improve STJs’ contents using multimediabased

Edge-centric Optimization of Multi-modal ML-driven eHealth Applications
Smart eHealth applications deliver personalized and preventive digital
healthcare services to clients through remote sensing, continuous monitoring,
and data analytics. Smart eHealth applications sense input data from multiple
modalities, transmit the data to edge and/or cloud nodes, and process the data
with compute intensive machine learning (ML) algorithms. Run-time variations
with continuous stream of noisy input data, unreliable network connection,
computational requirements of ML algorithms, and choice of compute placement
among sensor-edge-cloud layers affect the efficiency of ML-driven eHealth
applications. In this chapter, we present edge-centric techniques for optimized
compute placement, exploration of accuracy-performance trade-offs, and
cross-layered sense-compute co-optimization for ML-driven eHealth applications.
We demonstrate the practical use cases of smart eHealth applications in
everyday settings, through a sensor-edge-cloud framework for an objective pain
assessment case study

Educational use cases from a shared exploration of e-books and iPads
E-books and e-book readers are becoming increasingly widely available, particularly for the general reader, and there have been many studies on their adoption. However, less is known about their use for educational and academic purposes. We report here on work carried out on e-books and e-book applications using iPads by academic and teaching staff. After considering pedagogical issues and reporting survey results, we identify a spiral of six key use case areas for e-books. This spiral of use cases moves from basic e-book use, through situational reading, e-books and learning, using multiple learning resources, collaborative/group learning, to e-book production. We discuss each of these use case areas and provide guidelines that will be of interest to practitioners and researchers alike
Bibliometrix Analysis: Trade Process Information Systems in Tangerang Modern Land Market
Developing an information system that can facilitate the trading process at Pasar Modernland Tangerang. Pasar Modernland Tangerang is a modern market that has various types of traders and products offered to consumers. However, the trading process in this market still faces a number of obstacles, such as a lack of efficiency, lack of transparency, and difficulties in managing trade data. Therefore, this study aims to design and implement an information system that can help improve the trading process at Pasar Modernland Tangerang. Study This aim For develop system information that facilitates the trading process at Pasar Modernland Tangerang. Pasar Modernland Tangerang is a modern market that has various type merchants and products offered to consumer. The research method used in the given text is a systematic literature review. The text describes the process of conducting a bibliometric analysis to identify relevant publications for research. This study used a combination of keywords, filtering by time, type of publication, open access, language, and removal of duplicates to screen studies that fit the research objectives. This helps researchers narrow the range of studies to be synthesized and analyzed(Rojas-Sánchez et al., 2023). The information system designed and implemented in the study aimed to increase efficiency, strengthen transparency, and ease trading data management. The system covered several important features, such as trader registration and profile management, online ordering and payment, inventory management, and trading data reports and analysis. The system was expected to help increase the quality of service for consumers, make it easy for merchants to manage their business, and increase the potential growth of the economy in the market are
