Statistical Function Tagging and Grammatical Relations of Myanmar Sentences
This paper describes a context free grammar (CFG) based grammatical relations
for Myanmar sentences which combine corpus-based function tagging system. Part
of the challenge of statistical function tagging for Myanmar sentences comes
from the fact that Myanmar has free-phrase-order and a complex morphological
system. Function tagging is a pre-processing step to show grammatical relations
of Myanmar sentences. In the task of function tagging, which tags the function
of Myanmar sentences with correct segmentation, POS (part-of-speech) tagging
and chunking information, we use Naive Bayesian theory to disambiguate the
possible function tags of a word. We apply context free grammar (CFG) to find
out the grammatical relations of the function tags. We also create a functional
annotated tagged corpus for Myanmar and propose the grammar rules for Myanmar
sentences. Experiments show that our analysis achieves a good result with

Metamodel Instance Generation: A systematic literature review
Modelling and thus metamodelling have become increasingly important in
Software Engineering through the use of Model Driven Engineering. In this paper
we present a systematic literature review of instance generation techniques for
metamodels, i.e. the process of automatically generating models from a given
metamodel. We start by presenting a set of research questions that our review
is intended to answer. We then identify the main topics that are related to
metamodel instance generation techniques, and use these to initiate our
literature search. This search resulted in the identification of 34 key papers
in the area, and each of these is reviewed here and discussed in detail. The
outcome is that we are able to identify a knowledge gap in this field, and we
offer suggestions as to some potential directions for future research.Comment: 25 page
An Efficient Probabilistic Context-Free Parsing Algorithm that Computes Prefix Probabilities
We describe an extension of Earley's parser for stochastic context-free
grammars that computes the following quantities given a stochastic context-free
grammar and an input string: a) probabilities of successive prefixes being
generated by the grammar; b) probabilities of substrings being generated by the
nonterminals, including the entire string being generated by the grammar; c)
most likely (Viterbi) parse of the string; d) posterior expected number of
applications of each grammar production, as required for reestimating rule
probabilities. (a) and (b) are computed incrementally in a single left-to-right
pass over the input. Our algorithm compares favorably to standard bottom-up
parsing methods for SCFGs in that it works efficiently on sparse grammars by
making use of Earley's top-down control structure. It can process any
context-free rule format without conversion to some normal form, and combines
computations for (a) through (d) in a single algorithm. Finally, the algorithm
has simple extensions for processing partially bracketed inputs, and for
finding partial parses and their likelihoods on ungrammatical inputs.Comment: 45 pages. Slightly shortened version to appear in Computational
