User Story Software Estimation:a Simplification of Software Estimation Model with Distributed Extreme Programming Estimation Technique
Software estimation is an area of software engineering concerned with the identification, classification and measurement of features of software that affect the cost of developing and sustaining computer programs [19]. Measuring the software through software estimation has purpose to know the complexity of the software, estimate the human resources, and get better visibility of execution and process model. There is a lot of software estimation that work sufficiently in certain conditions or step in software engineering for example measuring line of codes, function point, COCOMO, or use case points.
This paper proposes another estimation technique called Distributed eXtreme Programming Estimation (DXP Estimation). DXP estimation provides a basic technique for the team that using eXtreme Programming method in onsite or distributed development. According to writer knowledge this is a first estimation technique that applied into agile method in eXtreme Programming
The Cosmic Linear Anisotropy Solving System (CLASS) I: Overview
The Cosmic Linear Anisotropy Solving System (CLASS) is a new accurate
Boltzmann code, designed to offer a more user-friendly and flexible coding
environment to cosmologists. CLASS is very structured, easy to modify, and
offers a rigorous way to control the accuracy of output quantities. It is also
incidentally a bit faster than other codes. In this overview, we present the
general principles of CLASS and its basic structure. We insist on the
friendliness and flexibility aspects, while accuracy, physical approximations
and performances are discussed in a series of companion papers.Comment: 19 pages, typos corrected. Code available at http://class-code.ne

The Reception of Hesiod by the Early Presocratics
The early Presocraticsâ major speculative and critical initiativesâin particular, Anaximanderâs conceptions of the justice of the cosmos and of the apeiron as its archÄ and Xenophanesâs polemics against immorality and anthropomorphism in the depiction of the gods and against any claim to divine inspirationâappear to break with Hesiodâs form of thought. But the conceptual, critical, and ethical depth of Hesiodâs own rethinking of the lore that he inherits complicates this picture. Close examination of each of their major initiatives together with the relevant passages in Hesiod shows that even in the course of departing from his thought, Anaximander and Xenophanes also reappropriate and renew it. In a postscript I pose some questions for future inquiry into Heraclitusâs and Parmenidesâs receptions of Hesiod
Trinity of Strangeon Matter
Strangeon is proposed to be the constituent of bulk strong matter, as an
analogy of nucleon for an atomic nucleus. The nature of both nucleon matter (2
quark flavors, u and d) and strangeon matter (3 flavors, u, d and s) is
controlled by the strong-force, but the baryon number of the former is much
smaller than that of the latter, to be separated by a critical number of
. While micro nucleon matter (i.e., nuclei) is focused by
nuclear physicists, astrophysical/macro strangeon matter could be manifested in
the form of compact stars (strangeon star), cosmic rays (strangeon cosmic ray),
and even dark matter (strangeon dark matter). This trinity of strangeon matter
is explained, that may impact dramatically on today's physics.Comment: Xiamen-CUSTIPEN whorkshop on the EoS of dense matter (3-7 January

Towards Benchmarking User Stories Estimation with COSMIC Function Points-A Case Example of Participant Observatio
Shorter time-to-market and unstable requirements is leading to introduction of Agile and DevOps practices. Story point estimation is becoming handier in Agile/DevOps setting. However, developing user stories and defining sizing unit in terms of story point is subjective process. It lacks benchmarking/standardization in terms of sizing measure and productivity of historical data. COSMIC has been considered as FSM (Functional Size Method). It has flexibility to receive requirements as User stories (popular Agile/Devops method) and derive COSMIC functional units using parametric approach. COSMIC method reduces the subjectivity and populates the productivity parameter for benchmarking. It standardizes the estimation process and can be easily deployed in Agile or DevOps setting. This paper presents the related work on linkages between User stories, COSMIC methods and traditional function point methods. It also presents the outcome of the industry survey conducted on 49 practitioners working in 10 different domains with respective to parametric estimation process adoption and presents 9 real-time case studies developed to demonstrate the usage of COSMIC method in various domains. This paper also attempts to derive mapping process of COSMIC functional process with User Stories with the help of 2 real-time industry case studies
