A comparative Study on development strategy of Freight Forwarding companies between China and Korea
Along with the fast development of international trade and commerce, China’s international freight forwarding industry also got an unprecedented opportunity for its rapid development. The role of freight forwarding industry in fostering china’s economic development is irreplaceable. It was recognized as the “link chain” connecting shippers and carriers. And at the same time, it is also referred to as organizers and designers of international logistics.
In 2004, the state council issued a document NO. 16 "a decision about the third round of cancelling and adjusting the administrative examination and approval ",marked that the examination and approval system in freight forwarding industry has formally changed into grading system. From that moment, the freight forwarding industry in our country has been going to enter a new era and the high-flying market admittance threshold of past has been cut down flat overnight. Therefore, a large number of freight forwarding companies have been springing up as bamboo shoots grow fast as after a spring rain. Besides, in the context of fierce competition and changing international environment, many freight forwarding enterprises in china have suddenly started to realize that though survival problems has been solved, in the face of the changes in macroeconomic environment and large extrusion from large-scale freight forwarding enterprises, small and medium-sized freight forwarding enterprises how to develop themselves has become a more and more prominent problem.
This paper is based on this above-mentioned topic and aims at seeking new dimensions and opportunities for promoting and stepping up the growth of China's freight forwarding enterprises.
At the same time China's neighboring country- Korea’s logistics industrial development runs ahead of Chinese logistics industry development to some extent. This article will find a breakthrough for China’s freight forwarding enterprises based on Korean freight forwarding enterprises development experience in resolving some issues that CFFC are confronting.Chapter 1

Exploring sources of competitive advantage in e-business applications: A cross-industries case study in mainland China
A review of existing literature revealed that little theoretical framework exists to capture e-business-enabled value creation through an integrated approach that includes the environmental view and resource-based view (RBV). Furthermore, little empirical research has been conducted to test these theoretical frameworks, in particular in the Chinese business context. The aim of this research is to extend the theoretical and practical understanding of e-business-enabled sources of competitive advantage (SCA) in China. The value chain (VC) concept, virtual value chain (VVC) framework and RBV were identified from the literature as the key constructs to underpin the theoretical basis. The research design used a qualitative research methodology consisting of indepth case studies of nine leading Chinese companies in three industries - housing development, manufacturing, and B2C.
The principle finding is the formulation of a theoretical framework for investigating ebusiness value creations which integrates the key constructs of the VVC, online information capabilities (OIC), value system and RVB. This research also proposes a typology of five generic types of key e-business applications which states clearly the relationships between key e-business applications and SCA. Finally, this research demonstrates that e-business value creation features differently between two groups: Internet pragmatist and Internet pioneers.
The research offers a number of contributions to the field of e-business value creation. Firstly, it introduces the concepts of OIC and value system to the VVC. It also provides empirical test of the analytical framework. In addition, this research provides an indepth understanding of the relationships between types of e-business applications and key SCA. Finally, this research identifies and explains the key differences and similarities between the three industries, within each industry, and between the two key groups
From Supply Chain Integration to Operational Performance: The Moderating Effect of Market Uncertainty
© 2017, Global Institute of Flexible Systems Management. This research examines the moderating effect of market uncertainty on the causal effects from supply chain integration to operational performance of a typical supply chain. Based on an extensive and critical literature review, two exploratory conceptual hypotheses have been developed for the nonlinear relationship between the supply chain integration and operational performance of the original equipment manufacturer, and how may that relationship be moderated by a specific construct of market uncertainty. Empirical survey instrument has been designed and applied to gather the data from a wide spectrum of automotive industry in China. Confirmative factor analysis and threshold regression analysis were used as the primary research methodology to test the hypotheses. We find strong support to the hypotheses from the empirical evidence, which leads to the finding that the relationship between the supply chain integration and operational performance is ‘nonlinear’, and the ‘nonlinearity’ can be significantly moderated by the market uncertainty as one of the key environmental factors for the supply chain. This study extends the current literature by contributing for the first time the discussion of an analytical model that represents the causal effects from supply chain integration to its operational performance with respect to the market uncertainty as a moderating factor
A Unified Field Leadership framework (UFL): Developing Employee Potential through Consistent Dual Strategy, Bionic Organization, and Quantum Thinking Processes
This study explores the relationship between leadership and employee potential development within unpredictable business environments, particularly focusing on private enterprises in Zhejiang Province, China. Addressing the gap in traditional leadership theories, which struggle in today's uncertain contexts, the research investigates the experiences of senior executives, middle-level managers, and employees, delving into strategic and organizational leadership and the balance between business and personal life.
Based on interviews with 46 individuals from 9 companies, the study introduces the Unified Field Leadership (UFL) framework, a novel approach designed for uncertain environments. UFL integrates three key mechanisms: dual strategy, bionic organization, and quantum thinking, to develop employee potential. This framework, inspired by natural science principles, offers a multi- dimensional perspective, incorporating time, space, psychology, and environment, and aligns with ancient Chinese philosophy, particularly the Tao Te Ching.
UFL, rooted in a high-dimensional cognitive framework, bridges science and ethics, addresses company vitality, employee creativity, and organizational evolution (VCE), and involves five alignments between enterprises and employees. These include alignments between business, management, and profit models; strategy, organization, and people's hearts; direction, motivation, and path; id, ego, and superego; and between conscience, knowledge-action unity, and unity of man and nature.
This thesis contributes to leadership theory by introducing the three worlds framework, blending psychology, behaviour, and destiny. UFL addresses the limitations of existing leadership models, making it suitable for uncertain environments and useful for government application in leadership improvement, especially in family businesses and intergenerational succession. This approach aims to elevate leadership to scientific and ethical standards, unlocking employee potential and supporting broader objectives such as comprehensive personal and corporate development, corporate social responsibility (CSR), and environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices
