Honey and crystals sugar was complementary materials for wound care in a modern era. In other easy to get it, the curative characteristic in the honey and crystal sugar, it can to cure of the injury soon. The injury can easy to heal so the cost is cheap. This research aims to determine comparation of the effect of honey compress and crystals sugar compress on the process of wound healing in mice. This type of research is a True Experiment Randomized Design with research design Post Test Only Control Group Design conducted on 15 white rats received artificial injury. The sample selected by RCT (Randomized Control Trial) it divided into three groups, namely honey compress treatment group (n = 5), crystal sugar compress the treated group (n = 5), and the control group (n = 5). Independent variables that influence honey compress and the crystals sugar compress, while the dependent variable healed wound (edema, hyperemia, pus, granulation) on the observation every day for seven days. The data obtained, than it analyzed using Kolmogorov-Smirnov test by level of significance p <0.05. The results showed the influence statistic significantly granting of honey compress and sugar crystals compress third day of observation. Kolmogorov-Smirnov test (edema p = 0.013, hyperemia p = 0.013, pus p = 0.013, and granulation p = 0.013). Compresses can be summed giving honey and crystals sugar compress significantly effect the process of wound healing. Based on these results, it suggested in other that use a pack of honey or crystals sugar compress can be applied as comprehensive wound car

Coherent Control of Stationary Light Pulses

We present a detailed analysis of the recently demonstrated technique to generate quasi-stationary pulses of light [M. Bajcsy {\it et al.}, Nature (London) \textbf{426}, 638 (2003)] based on electromagnetically induced transparency. We show that the use of counter-propagating control fields to retrieve a light pulse, previously stored in a collective atomic Raman excitation, leads to quasi-stationary light field that undergoes a slow diffusive spread. The underlying physics of this process is identified as pulse matching of probe and control fields. We then show that spatially modulated control-field amplitudes allow us to coherently manipulate and compress the spatial shape of the stationary light pulse. These techniques can provide valuable tools for quantum nonlinear optics and quantum information processing.Comment: 27 pages, 10 figure

Seat cushion to provide realistic acceleration cues to aircraft simulator pilot

Get PDF
Seat cushions, each including an air cell with a non-compressible surface, are disclosed. The apparatus are provided for initially controlling the air pressure in the air cells to allow the two main support areas of the simulator pilot to touch the non-compressible surface and thus begin to compress the flesh near these areas. During a simulated flight the apparatus control the air pressure in the cells to simulate the events that occur in a seat cushion during actual flight

The purpose of this research is to know the influence Gajasih to healing of hurt ganggren. This research used the device of research of Quasy Experiment, desain of research Pre-Test Post-Test - Control Group Desain. Population in this research is natural patient of hurt ganggren with the amount samples 14 respondents, using technique of Consecutive Sampling, data analysed to use the test of Wilcoxon and Mann - Whitney with P ≤ 0.05. Result of test Wilcoxon of at treatment group show the value P = 0.011, meaning there is influence which significance of compress gajasih to healing of hurt ganggren. At group control to show the value P = 0.020, meaning there are influence which significance of compress Nacl 09% , Savlon 2%, Perhidrol 3%, with the healing of hurt ganggren. Result of test Mann-Whitney got by value P = 0.114, meaning there no influence difference which significance of between use of compress Gajasih with the compress Nacl 09%, Savlon 2%, Perhidrol 3% to healing of hurt ganggren. Though statistically thereno influence difference of but visually is seen by the existence of difference of influence of hurt healing

The purpose of this study was to identify the effectiveness of ginger compress in relief non-specific low back pain and reduce functional disability due to low back pain. After screening, 15 participants were randomly allocated into two groups: experimental group (n=8) received ginger compress treatment for 20 minutes per session, three sessions per week for a total of ten sessions and control group (n=7) did not received any treatment. Numeric Rating Scale for pain and OswetryDisability Questionnaire were used to measure pain and functional disability before and after the intervention. This study revealed the experimental group indicated significantly pain relief (p=0.000) and disability reduced (p=0.000) after three weeks intervention. This study concludesthat ginger compress is effective in pain relief and reduces functional disability in patients with non-specific low back pain. Keywords: ginger compress, non-specific low back pain, Oswetry Disability Questionnair

Effect of a hydrotherapy based alternate compress on osteoarthritis of the knee joint: a randomized controlled trial

Background: Osteoarthritis (OA) of the knees causes pain; swelling and decreases its range of motion in the knee joint. An alternate hot and cold compress gives a circulatory effect without thermic reaction. This treatment induces only a revulsive, non-excitant, and analgesic effect, till date there have been no investigations on the usage of an alternate hot and cold compress as an intervention in individuals with OA of knees. Methods: The control group (n=30) received only routine naturopathy based treatments, whereas the study group received naturopathy based treatments along with an alternate hot and cold compress as an additional intervention for 10 days. Subjects were assessed with Numerical Rating Scale (NRS) and Knee injury and Osteoarthritis Outcome Score (KOOS) as standard questionnaires at baseline and at the end of 10 days. Results: To perform statistical analysis of the collected data we use Kolmogorov-Smirnov goodness of fit test to validate the assumption of normality. We applied Paired sample t – test to test the effectiveness before the treatment and after the treatment in Control group as well in Intervention group. We use independent two sample t-test to test effectiveness of treatment. Results of NRS and KOOS questionnaire are expressed as mean and standard deviation and P value (< 0.05). There was a significant reduction in pain in experimental group compared to control group P value (< 0.05).Conclusions: This study concluded that an alternate hydryatic compress was effective in the management of pain in knee OA

Effectiveness of hydropathic compress of dandelion in ameliorating complications of arteriovenous fistula

Get PDF
Purpose: To investigate the effect of dandelion hydropathic compress on the complications of autologous arteriovenous fistula (AVF).Methods: From January to June 2019, a total of 162 patients treated with arteriovenous fistula for hemodialysis in the blood purification department of Affiliated Hospital of Jining Medical University were enrolled. They were randomly assigned at a ratio of 1:1 to receive either conventional infrared irradiation (control group) or conventional irradiation plus dandelion hydropathic compress (study group). The clinical endpoint was the amelioration of the complications of arteriovenous fistula after 6 months of treatment. Results: Dandelion hydropathic compress combined with conventional infrared irradiation was associated with a significantly higher clinical efficacy (96.30 %) than conventional infrared irradiation alone (77.78 %). The application of dandelion hydropathic compress plus infrared irradiation resulted in significantly reduced pain, a better quality of life, and a lower incidence of complications (p < 0.05).Conclusion: Dandelion hydropathic compress plus routine nursing and infrared irradiation lower the incidence of complications, improve blood flow, relieve pain, and enhance the quality of life of patients. Further clinical trials are needed to confirm the usefulness of this therapeutic strategy
