Nondegenerate 3D complex Euclidean superintegrable systems and algebraic varieties
A classical (or quantum) second order superintegrable system is an integrable
n-dimensional Hamiltonian system with potential that admits 2n-1 functionally
independent second order constants of the motion polynomial in the momenta, the
maximum possible. Such systems have remarkable properties: multi-integrability
and multi-separability, an algebra of higher order symmetries whose
representation theory yields spectral information about the Schroedinger
operator, deep connections with special functions and with QES systems. Here we
announce a complete classification of nondegenerate (i.e., 4-parameter)
potentials for complex Euclidean 3-space. We characterize the possible
superintegrable systems as points on an algebraic variety in 10 variables
subject to six quadratic polynomial constraints. The Euclidean group acts on
the variety such that two points determine the same superintegrable system if
and only if they lie on the same leaf of the foliation. There are exactly 10
nondegenerate potentials.Comment: 35 page
Solutions of some Monge-Amp\`ere equations with isolated and line singularities
In this paper, we study existence, regularity, classification, and
asymptotical behaviors of solutions of some Monge-Amp\`ere equations with
isolated and line singularities. We classify all solutions of in with one puncture point. This can be applied to characterize
ellipsoids, in the same spirit of Serrin's overdetermined problem for the
Laplace operator. In the case of having non-removable singular points for
, modulo affine equivalence the set of all generalized solutions can be
identified as an explicit orbifold of finite dimension. We also establish
existence of global solutions with general singular sets, regularity
properties, and optimal estimates of the second order derivatives of
generalized solutions near the singularity consisting of a point or a straight
line. The geometric motivation comes from singular semi-flat Calabi-Yau
metrics.Comment: 25 page
First integrals in stationary and axially symmetric space-times and sub-riemannian structures
Overdetermined problems for the fractional Laplacian in exterior and annular sets
We consider a fractional elliptic equation in an unbounded set with both Dirichlet and fractional normal derivative datum prescribed. We prove that the domain and the solution are necessarily radially symmetric. The extension of the result in bounded non-convex regions is also studied, as well as the radial symmetry of the solution when the set is a priori supposed to be rotationally symmetric
