Asymptotically idempotent aggregation operators for trust management in multi-agent systems

The study of trust management in multi-agent system, especially distributed, has grown over the last years. Trust is a complex subject that has no general consensus in literature, but has emerged the importance of reasoning about it computationally. Reputation systems takes into consideration the history of an entity’s actions/behavior in order to compute trust, collecting and aggregating ratings from members in a community. In this scenario the aggregation problem becomes fundamental, in particular depending on the environment. In this paper we describe a technique based on a class of asymptotically idempotent aggregation operators, suitable particulary for distributed anonymous environments

An Analysis of a New P2P Trust Control Model

In order to monitor efficiently the selfish behavior on networks, form reliable relations and prevent problems such as the single point of failure or bottleneck effect in traditional client-server environments, we adopt a novel P2P trust arithmetic-P-Trust referring to the social people trust relation mechanism. The direct trust arithmetic and the recommend trust arithmetic are particularly described. The P-Trust integrates the direct trust value and recommend trust value to create the final trust value. Simulations prove the P-Trust arithmetic can tackle the P2P trust problem in a simple and efficient way

Trust and reputation relationships in service-oriented environments

Trust and trustworthiness plays a major role in conducting business o the internet in service-oriented environments. In defining Trust for service-oriented environments, one needs to capture the notation of service level, service agreement, context and timeslots. The same applies for reputation which is the opinion of the third party agents which is used in determining the trust and trustworthiness. Because of the complexity of the issues, and the fact that the Trust and Reputation are essentially concerns with the relationships, it is important to clearly define the notion of the trust relationships and notion of the reputation relationships. In this paper, therefore, we clearly these definitions and we introduce a graphical notation for representing these relationship

CCCI metrics for the measurement of quality of e-service

The growing development in web-based trust and reputation systems in the 21st century will have powerful social and economic impact on all business entities, and will make transparent quality assessment and customer assurance realities in the distributed web-based service oriented environments. The growth in web-based trust and reputation systems will be the foundation for web intelligence in the future. Trust and Reputation systems help capture business intelligence through establishing customer relationships, learning consumer behaviour, capturing market reaction on products and services, disseminating customer feedback, buyers? opinions and end-user recommendations, and revealing dishonest services, unfair trading, biased assessment, discriminatory actions, fraudulent behaviours, and un-true advertising. The continuing development of these technologies will help in the improvement of professional business behaviour, sales, reputation of sellers, providers, products and services. In this paper, we present a new methodology known as CCCI (Correlation, Commitment, Clarity, and Influence) for trustworthiness measure that is used in the Trust and Reputation System. The methodology is based on determining the correlation between the originally committed services and the services actually delivered by a Trusted Agent in a business interaction over the service oriented networks to determine the trustworthiness of the Trusted Agent

Implementation of Volatile Secure Model in P2P System: A Detailed Analysis

In network domain system, the peer to peer systems shows an open access rather than other systems.P2P system defines each peer is able to share the information to other peer without the help of any centralized system. So there are more chances of malicious activities .for better security one peer must send some trust parameters along with the recommendations from other peer. This system is fully based on priority, trust worthiness history and peer satisfaction, recommendation. Those peers who is having more recommendations and trustworthiness value, that peer will connect with other peers only. A trust model is derived by integrating the risk management and security, by applying this new method; it provides the utility maximization of peer to peer system. The main objective of the system is to make sure that the peer to peer communication is reliable and secure by the use of the trust model surrounded each and every peer in the system. An E-Business Model Facilitating Service Provider Selection in B2C E-Commerce

The advent and expansion of the Internet and its applications, among them e-commerce, has provided new opportunities for the emergence of novel e-business models. A portion of these models are in the form of performing a mediatory role to provide some services for customers or businesses, and to facilitate transactions between them. In B2C e-commerce, often, a service consumer may supply his service demand from a range of providers and when he doesn\u27t have any transaction with many of them making an accurate decision becomes challenging. Therefore, he would need to interact with others to acquire relevant information. Current approaches for addressing this issue are generally rating-based and perform poorly. Recently, an experience-based approach has been proposed by ensoy et al [1]. This paper reviews this approach, analyzes its weaknesses and problems and proposes a new model to eliminate those problems, in which a third party assists the consumers in choosing their desired service providers

Defining trustworthiness in service oriented environment

In the existing literature we note that there has been no effort in proposing a definition of trustworthiness. In this paper, we propose a definition of trustworthiness with focus on service oriented environments. In addition, we propose and discuss in detail the various factors which can affect the trustworthiness assigned by the trusting agent to the trusted agent
