Does an artificial intelligence perform market manipulation with its own discretion? -- A genetic algorithm learns in an artificial market simulation
Who should be charged with responsibility for an artificial intelligence
performing market manipulation have been discussed. In this study, I
constructed an artificial intelligence using a genetic algorithm that learns in
an artificial market simulation, and investigated whether the artificial
intelligence discovers market manipulation through learning with an artificial
market simulation despite a builder of artificial intelligence has no intention
of market manipulation. As a result, the artificial intelligence discovered
market manipulation as an optimal investment strategy. This result suggests
necessity of regulation, such as obligating builders of artificial intelligence
to prevent artificial intelligence from performing market manipulation
Fighter aircraft flight control technology design requirements
The evolution of fighter aircraft flight control technology is briefly surveyed. Systems engineering, battle damage considerations for adaptive flutter suppression, in-flight simulation, and artificial intelligence are briefly discussed
Against Animats
Animats are artificial animals, a contraction of anima-materials. The term includes physical robots and virtual simulations. Animat research, a subset of Artificial Life studies, has become rather popular since Rodney Brooks' seminal paper "Intelligence without representation". The word was coined by S.W. Wilson in 1991, in the first proceedings of the Simulation of Adaptive Behaviour, which was also called From Animals to Animats
Smart Rescue Drones to Find Snowslide Victims
In the approach of using autonomous robots to find victims on risk zones, there are specific ones that can reach the victims faster, the Unmanned Autonomous Vehicles (UAVs), better known as Drones. For this to happen, artificial intelligence algorithms were designed to teach them to search for the victims faster. On this paper, a simulation of three drones flying on different environments was made based on a Hidden Markov Models with KNN classifier as an artificial intelligence approach for the learning. The results revealed that for some environments, based on memory to store the paths and the classification of the objects, different hardware settings for the drones can be needed
Sensor fault detection with low computational cost : a proposed neural network-based control scheme
The paper describes a low computational power method for detecting sensor faults. A typical fault detection unit for multiple sensor fault detection with modelbased approaches, requires a bank of estimators. The estimators can be either observer or artificial intelligence based. The proposed control scheme uses an artificial intelligence approach for the development of the fault detection unit abbreviated as ‘i-FD’. In contrast with the bank-estimators approach the proposed i-FD unit is using only one estimator for multiple sensor fault detection. The efficacy of the scheme is tested on an Electro-Magnetic Suspension (EMS) system and compared with a bank of Kalman estimators in simulation environment
SIMULATION OF COMPETITIVE MARKET SITUATIONS USING INTELLIGENT AGENTS
The following paper describes a way for using Artificial Intelligence
controlled simulation methodology in the simulation of various marketing
problems. The paper first explores the potential challenges in the
construction of market models, describes a guideline for the solution, and
points out aspects where the Artificial Intelligence controlled simulation
methodology can be applied. Special focus will be dedicated to the
intelligent demon controlled simulation, especially the CASSANDRA system
