    A Systematic Review of Knowledge Visualization Approaches Using Big Data Methodology for Clinical Decision Support

    This chapter reports on results from a systematic review of peer-reviewed studies related to big data knowledge visualization for clinical decision support (CDS). The aims were to identify and synthesize sources of big data in knowledge visualization, identify visualization interactivity approaches for CDS, and summarize outcomes. Searches were conducted via PubMed, Embase, Ebscohost, CINAHL, Medline, Web of Science, and IEEE Xplore in April 2019, using search terms representing concepts of: big data, knowledge visualization, and clinical decision support. A Google Scholar gray literature search was also conducted. All references were screened for eligibility. Our review returned 3252 references, with 17 studies remaining after screening. Data were extracted and coded from these studies and analyzed using a PICOS framework. The most common audience intended for the studies was healthcare providers (n = 16); the most common source of big data was electronic health records (EHRs) (n = 12), followed by microbiology/pathology laboratory data (n = 8). The most common intervention type was some form of analysis platform/tool (n = 7). We identified and classified studies by visualization type, user intent, big data platforms and tools used, big data analytics methods, and outcomes from big data knowledge visualization of CDS applications

    Inovações tecnológicas adotadas por hospitais inteligentes : uma revisão sistemática da literatura

    O uso da tecnologia em hospitais é uma tendência cada vez mais evidente, um diferencial que promove salvar vidas, eliminar desperdícios e proporcionar uma grande revolução na sociedade, melhorando consequentemente o modo de pensar das pessoas. O Hospital Inteligente origina-se a partir do avanço dessas tecnologias,como um novo conceito dos sistemas de saúde totalmente digitalizados, possibilitando uma maior qualidade, eficiência e produtividade. Com isso torna-se importante compreender as principais abordagens teóricas, desafios e vantagens relacionados a essa temática por meio da revisão sistemática da literatura utilizandoa Teoria das Abordagens Analítica Consolidada (TEMAC). Este estudo tem como objetivo identificar as principais inovações tecnológicas adotadas nos Hospitais, englobando dispositivos, produtos, técnicas e mecanismos de gestão que viabilizama prevenção de doenças e reabilitação de pessoas. Utilizou-se as bases de dados Web of Science e Scopus, para a pesquisa e inter-relação dos dados com um lapso temporal de 2015 a 2021, identificando as principais contribuições da Engenharia de Produção com os avanços tecnológicos na área da saúde.The use of technology in hospitals is an increasingly evident trend, a differential that promotes saving lives, eliminating waste and providing a great revolution in society, consequently improving people's way of thinking. The Intelligent Hospital originates from the advancement of these technologies, as a new concept of fully digitized health systems, enabling greater quality, efficiency and productivity. Thus, it is important to understand the main theoretical approaches, challenges and advantages related to this theme through systematic literature review using the Consolidated Analytical Approach Theory (TEMAC). This study aims to identify the main technological innovations adopted in hospitals, encompassing devices, products, techniques and management mechanisms that enable the prevention of diseases and the rehabilitation of people.     An Innovative Methodology for Big Data Visualization for Telemedicine

    With the explosion of Big Data, visualizing statistical data became a challenging topic that has involved many research efforts over the last years. Interpreting Big Data and efficiently showing information for good understanding are difficult tasks, especially in healthcare scenarios, where different types of data have to been managed and cross-related. Some models and techniques for health data visualization have been presented in literature. However, they do not satisfy the visualization needs of physicians and medical personnel. In this paper, we present a new graphical tool for the visualization of health data, that can be easily used for monitoring health status of patients remotely. The tool is very user friendly, and allows physician to quickly understand the current status of a person by looking at colored circles. From a technical point of view, the proposed solution adopts the geoJSON standard to classify data into different circles

    Modelling fashion microblogs to increase the influence of social media marketing in Ireland and China

    With the breakthrough of social media in the 21st century, microblogging has become an influential medium for marketing fashion brands and products online. For this reason, this study explores ten Irish and another ten Chinese fashion microblogging influencers’ microblogs using Text Mining and Netnography. By this comparison, the study finds a current model of how fashion microblogs influence fashion consumption in Ireland and China. With the help of this model, the study proposes a typology of Irish and Chinese fashion microblogging influencers and their basic microblogging strategies. The proposed typology intends to help fashion marketers to model their fashion microblogs in order to increase the influence of social media marketing in Ireland and China. Furthermore, the proposed typology is applied to develop a digital artefact that not only can deal with Irish and Chinese fashion microblogs at the same time but also show the results employing text visualisation. This bilingual digital website tries to make up for the lack of attention to text analysis on fashion-related words in the development of text mining tools. Finally, the methodological combination of Text Mining and Netnography employs digital tools and computer programming to conduct studies in the field of arts and humanities. The success of methodological combination in the study opens up a bright prospect for interdisciplinary research methodology
