    Support tools for ERP selection

    Get PDF
The first step in ERP implementation is a selection process. In general ERP selection is a two-stairs process. The first task is supply narrowing and after that it fallows the ERP comparison. Inasmuch as an ERP system is not only a software product, in the assessment process have to be evaluated all fallow-up services too. These is true all the more, if we take new technologies platforms is consideration. In small enterprises human resources are restricted. For this reason project analyse are neglected in most of the cases and this enterprises need standard methods and services for evaluation

A model for I/O in equational languages with don't care non-determinism

    Get PDF
Existing models for I/O in side-effect free languages focus on functional languages, which are usually based on a largely deterministic reduction strategy, allowing for a strict sequentialization of I/O operations. In concurrent logic programming languages a model is used which allows for don't care non-determinism; the sequentialization of I/O is extensional rather than intensional. We apply this model to equational languages, which are closely related to functional languages, but exhibit don't care non-determinism. The semantics are formulated as constrained narrowing, a relation that contains the rewrite relation, and is contained in the narrowing relation. We present constrained narrowing and some of its properties; a constructive method to transform conventional term rewriting systems to constrained narrowing systems; and a discussion on requirements for an implementation

Vietnamese Local State-owned Enterprises (SOEs) at the Crossroads: Implications of SOE Restructuring at the Local Level

    Get PDF
This paper aims to capture the changing features of local SOEs under the national SOE restructuring program in the 2000s. The national policy on SOE reform in this phase had an effect of considerably clarifying and narrowing down the raison d'être of SOEs, which has been put into practice at the local level through provincial master plans. Consequently, some signs of an important change are observed: the structure of the local SOE sector is being standardized to a certain extent, and the remaining local SOEs are becoming more geared to the needs of a market economy. This trend would have far-reaching implications for the policy implementation and public service delivery by localities, which in turn would affect the long-term development of non-state sectors.State owned enterprise, Local government, Vietnam, Government enterprises

Efficient Solving of Quantified Inequality Constraints over the Real Numbers

Let a quantified inequality constraint over the reals be a formula in the first-order predicate language over the structure of the real numbers, where the allowed predicate symbols are \leq and <<. Solving such constraints is an undecidable problem when allowing function symbols such sin\sin or cos\cos. In the paper we give an algorithm that terminates with a solution for all, except for very special, pathological inputs. We ensure the practical efficiency of this algorithm by employing constraint programming techniques

    Independent AND-parallel implementation of narrowing

    Get PDF
We present a parallel graph narrowing machine, which is used to implement a functional logic language on a shared memory multiprocessor. It is an extensión of an abstract machine for a purely functional language. The result is a programmed graph reduction machine which integrates the mechanisms of unification, backtracking, and independent and-parallelism. In the machine, the subexpressions of an expression can run in parallel. In the case of backtracking, the structure of an expression is used to avoid the reevaluation of subexpressions as far as possible. Deterministic computations are detected. Their results are maintained and need not be reevaluated after backtracking
