Considering the high labour costs and intensive competitions in the global market, improving the effective deployment of innovative design and manufacturing and utilisation of all existing technical information, for the full life cycle of the product, is essential and much needed for manufacturing Small and Medium sized Enterprises (SMEs) in particular. Cloud Manufacturing , as a powerful tool supported with ‘big data’, will likely enable SMEs to move towards using dynamic scalability and ‘free’ available data resources in a virtual manner and to provide solution-based, value-added, digital-driven manufacturing service over the Internet. The research presented in this paper aims to develop a cloud manufacturing based approach towards value-added, knowledge/solution driven manufacturing for SMEs, where there are many constraints in engaging responsive high value manufacturing. The paper will present the framework, architecture and key moderator technologies for implementing cloud manufacturing and the associated application perspectives. The paper concludes with further discussion on the potential and application of the approach

The Use of Factor Analysis in the Perception of Benefits and Disadvantages Resulting from the Use of Cloud Computing Technology in the Enterprise

The information system development is a constant process, and one of the factors driving this development is, besides the Internet, Social Media, Big Data, Internet of Things, cloud computing. Cloud computing accelerates the processes of digitalization and digital transformation, at the same time affecting the transformation of business entities in technical and social aspects as well. Thus, cloud computing becomes an inseparable element of the information systems development. Currently conducted research indicates that the use of cloud computing by enterprises is becoming more common and is perceived as an effective tool in supporting business management. These studies are being confirmed by an increasing number of Polish enterprises, which have decided to implement this solution into their basic activity. In each report or study regarding the use of cloud computing in enterprises, a long list of disadvantages and benefits is presented, of which includes cloud computing. Therefore, the purpose of the article is to try to identify the most important factors (in the layout of benefits and disadvantages) that determine the perception of cloud computing by Polish enterprises. The obtained results from the conducted factor analysis demonstrate the general image of advantages and disadvantaged resulting from its use

Data warehouses are the core of decision support sys- tems, which nowadays are used by all kind of enter- prises in the entire world. Although many studies have been conducted on the need of decision support systems (DSSs) for small businesses, most of them adopt ex- isting solutions and approaches, which are appropriate for large-scaled enterprises, but are inadequate for small and middle-sized enterprises. Small enterprises require cheap, lightweight architec- tures and tools (hardware and software) providing on- line data analysis. In order to ensure these features, we review web-based business intelligence approaches. For real-time analysis, the traditional OLAP architecture is cumbersome and storage-costly; therefore, we also re- view in-memory processing. Consequently, this paper discusses the existing approa- ches and tools working in main memory and/or with web interfaces (including freeware tools), relevant for small and middle-sized enterprises in decision making

© 2015 IEEE. The paper discusses the issues of risk analysis of Business Intelligence on the basis of Cloud platforms. The study gives an account on various aspects of the issue such as benefits and risks, financial appliance, and a factual process of data analysis. The paper attempts to address the issue in terms of empirical knowledge as long as numerous organizations face difficulties concerning appropriate application of Business Intelligence in the Cloud environment for purposes of risk forecasting and assessment

This study mainly aimed to know the effect of using cloud computing on improving the efficiency of the performance of accounting information systems in the service companies listed on the Palestine Stock Exchange during the COVID-19 pandemic. To achieve the objective of the study, the researchers adopted the descriptive analytical method, and the questionnaire tool to collect data from its sources, analyze it through the SPSS program, and extract the results. The results of the study showed that cloud computing had an impact on improving the efficiency of accounting information systems, their safety and reliability in addition to achieving the desired benefits to keep pace with modernity in accounting information systems in the service companies listed on the Palestine Exchange. That was evident through giving users the opportunity to access information and financial data easily and quickly via the Internet at any time and from anywhere. It also helped the accountants, executives, stakeholders and the work teams to carry out their work, provide services and make decisions from their own homes during the period of the spread of the Corona pandemic, and thus maintained continuity of business. Furthermore, it was evident that cloud computing was able to achieve data security and maintain financial and accounting performance, since everything was stored over the Internet, and therefore it could not be hacked or lost if the company was exposed to cases of thefts or disasters, as only authorized persons can access it through a specific fingerprint. Moreover, through cloud computing, cost, effort and time in processing financial data were reduced through automatic feeding and updates. The study also recommended the necessity of working on more use of cloud computing to enable permanent access to the Internet, which provides integrated electronic accounting services with minimal effort, and reduce the expected risks associated with the applications of accounting information systems

Cloud computing is a technological reality that is being widely adopted by large companies. This study discusses cloud computing and information security. It also includes some of the advantages and risks, models of system and service adopted, as well as key services offered by the providers of cloud computing. It also addresses the legal issues of cloud computing contracts, with a focus on the contracting parties, on their goal and main clauses that must be addressed in this atypical contract, among them the integrity and confidentiality of data plus information requirements for supplying information and the purpose of the content stored in the case of breach of contract
