Purpose: The purpose of this paper is to study the important factors which help explain consumer intention and use behavior in mobile banking adoption Methodology: A questionnaire was utilized to evaluate customer responses on a five-point Likert scale. A convenience sampling technique was used to collect data from a sample of 452 respondents in Pakistan. The data were analyzed using SPSS for Cronbach’s alpha and Regression.  Findings: The results of the study show that most of the predictors of the intention, including perceived value, performance expectancy, habit, social influence, effort expectancy, hedonic motivation (except for facilitating condition), perceived risk, and trust, are significant. All predictors of usage behavior are significant.   Conclusion: The findings of this paper are not only interesting in terms of boosting mobile banking diffusion rate, but also in terms of financial inclusion of the vast majority of mobile users. Further, the impact of the intention, facilitating condition, and habit was checked on actual use behavior since people tend not always to act upon their intentions. &nbsp

A positive user authentication experience in e-banking is becoming increasingly challenging for providers of banking services. Users experience is crucial in justifying moneys spent in technologies. The use of Technology and its acceptance is a field of learning that researchers are working assiduously to discover factors affecting user identity authentication experience in e-banking. The study will investigate the factors affecting user experience in identity authentication in Nigeria e-banking environment using UTAUT model. Statistical methods will be used for analysis. The geographical scope of this work will be restricted to federal capital territory (FCT) in North Central Nigeria. Bank officials and customers will be selected from FCT and samples will be drawn through purposive sampling technique. Findings will disclose factors affecting user authentication experience. Recommendations will be made and the model derived which is UTAUT elements will make contributions extensively to the body of literature

This study would prove to be helpful in identifying the most influencing factors towards adoption of green banking practices and in developing policies towards its adoption in Pakistan. Structured questionnaire based on a 7 point Likert scale as used for data collection from a sample of 300 respondents. Regression analysis was used to check the association among the variables. The result of study shows that all independent variables of study have shown significant association with dependent variable. Which means to some extent every independent factor is playing role in affecting bankers’ behavioral intension to adopt green banking. Result shows that perceived usefulness and perceived ease of use contribute more in predicting the Attitude toward use, which along with effort expectancy and performance expectancy are major contributing factors towards behavioral intention to adopt green banking practices

Based in Teo and Zhou’s Extended Technology Acceptance Model as a useful frame for describing and understanding the beliefs on technology integration of the science teachers. This paper addresses the need for a survey instrument designed to measure the beliefs on integrate technology of the Science Teachers in the physics classrooms. The paper describes survey development process and results from a pilot study on 93 junior high school science teachers. Data analysis procedures included Cronbach’s alpha statistics on the E-TAM constructs and confirmatory factor analysis was conducted in the entire instrument. Results suggest that, with the modification based from content experts’ recommendations and deletion of 9 of the survey items from the initial 30 items, the scale is a reliable and valid instrument that will help education specialist implement a professional development program which could enhance the intention and ultimately the practices on technology integration in Physics classroom.  Article visualizations

Extended Use of Mobile Banking System: The Effects of Switching Cognitive Gears

    Get PDF
The proliferation of mobile devices ushers a new era of financial services. Although various users already adopted mobile banking systems, their insufficient utilization of systems become a pressing issue. Encouraging individuals to engage in extended use, that is, applying more available system features to support their financial tasks, is an efficient approach for financial institutions to extract value from customers’ alreadyin-use mobile banking systems. However, a relevant theoretical account for such discretionary post-adoptive usage is still in its infancy. Based on the switching cognitive gears perspective, this study proposes four types of triggers (i.e., new tasks, changes in system environments, other people’s uses, and deliberate initiatives) that will prompt the active cognitive processing of individuals that leads to their extended use of mobile banking systems. We further propose the methodology to operationalize extended use and empirically validate the research model, and then discuss the possible theoretical contributions and practical implications
