    Get PDF
AbstractThe goal of this longitudinal study is to examine the evolution of the perceptions, namely anxiety, ease of use, usefulness, misfit (not customization), trust and usefulness, related to an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) for the clinical staff in a French Teaching hospital. Two surveys were conducted first in September 2013 and second in December 2015, based on a questionnaire consisting of items on the Likert scale. As results, the correlation of all the variables between the two surveys is very significant (except for usefulness, for which the relationship is significant). This is not surprising, given previous studied focused on habits and learning related to technology adoption. Nevertheless, the increase is not spectacular and it makes necessary to evaluate EMR satisfaction and perceptions in order to elaborate a measure standard enabling comparisons and benchmarking among hospitals

SISKEUDES application is an application developed by BPKP to improve the quality of village financial governance that must be implemented. The implementation of regulations, the success of the purpose of the application of SISKEUDES will determine the effectiveness of the system. The successful implementation of the system is seen from the attitude of the village government in using the system. This research aims to test the perception of usability, perception of ease of use, subjective norms, and complementary to the attitude of use of rural financial system (SISKEUDES) applications. This study used survey methods and took samples in the village government of Madiun Regency and Kediri Regency which positioned as users of SISKEUDES application as many as 230 respondents. Data that has been disseminated through questionnaires is analyzed using partial least square (PLS) based structural models with SmartPLS software version 2.0. The results of this study prove that the user attitude of SISKEUDES application is positively influenced by perception of usability, subjective norms, and compatibility in using SISKEUDES applications. The study found the perception of ease of use had no effect on the attitudes of SISKEUDES application users. Keywords; Perception of Usability; Perception of Ease of Use; Subjective Norms; Compatibility; Attitud

Due to growing hyper-competition, firms need to create digital innovation in order to remain competitive in the digital era. While start-ups are known as a major source of creativity because they use new technologies to develop digital innovations, incumbent firms are beginning to address the opportunities and challenges of digitalization. Against this backdrop, incumbent firms have become interested in collaborating with start-ups in order to create digital innovation in co-development and offer it to customers. However, insights into costumers' subjective stance towards adoption regarding digital innovation that is marketed by incumbent firms and start-ups are absent in the existing research. In light of this, we have analyzed this field based on a qualitative study with 16 interviews with customers. With our results, we contribute to the literature and provide practitioners with valuable insights into how collaboration between incumbent firms and start-ups should be presented to customers of digital innovations

Measuring Effectiveness of Information Systems Security: An Empirical Research

    Get PDF
The objective of the present research is to put forth a theoretical model that measures information systems security effectiveness in minimizing security breaches. Very few studies were undertaken in this area. The model includes a number of literature-supported constructs. A number of hypotheses based on the influence of these constructs on IS security effectiveness are presented. These hypotheses are grounded using the appropriate literature. In the next phase of the study, we intend to revise and empirically validate the model using a pilot study utilizing a number of practitioners from Brazil, Finland, and the United States. The data obtained from the pilot study will be used to make improvements on the initial instrument designed for the study. In the third stage of the research a large sample of data will be collected from the aforementioned countries and a regression analysis will be conducted on the data to investigate which constructs influence IS security effectiveness

This study focuses on Web- based Identity Management Systems (IdMS), a new and emerging field where technology and business processes are integrated for the creation of identity -centric approaches to the management of users, their attributes, authentication factors and security privileges across the Internet and within an organisation. Understanding factors that affect user adoption of information technology is of interest to researchers in a diversity of fields. Although previous studies have addressed an extensive range of factors related to user adoption of information technology applications and products, there is no research examining the adoption of IdMS . In addition, no studies have investigated the conceptualisation and measurement of adoption factors in the IdMS context. The main objective of this study is to fill this clear gap by aiming to explore and understand the important factors influencing the user adoption of IdMS

Enterprise Resource Planning(ERP) is an integrated system that provides a wide range of benefits for the company, but there are still many companies who have unsuccessfully implemented ERP system. This study aimed to analyze the effect of the task characteristic and the success of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) on the success of ERP, with the user characteristic and organizational characteristic as mediating variables. The data were collected by using a questionnaire distributed directly to users of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) in Indonesian companies listed in Indonesia Stock Exchange (ISE). The data were processed by using Partial Least Square (PLS). It was found that the suitability of the task significantly affects the success of an ERP system, either directly or mediated by the user variable characteristic and organizational characteristic. Task difficulty also significantly affects the success of an ERP system if mediated by the convenience variable (user characteristic). The success of the ERP system is determined by based tasks and task complexity through the system the user's convenience in using the information system
