In this report, we describe the results of our study on the current headquarters (HQ) landscape in Austria. It is based on a data collection combining information from the database “Orbis” (Bureau van Dijk) and other publicly available data from company annual reports and previous reports. This study aims to provide a comprehensive and clear overview of the current landscape of HQs in Austria. This report represents a follow-up study to our report on “Headquarters Landscape in Austria: An Overview” (2022). By analyzing the data, we aim to gain a solid understanding of Austria as an HQ location, highlighting its unique characteristics, strengths, and weaknesses

Headquarters Landscape in Austria: International HQs:Study report 2023

In this report, we describe the results of our study on the current international headquarters (HQ) landscape in Austria.Austria’s economy is characterized by a large number of HQs. In order to foster continuous growth and maintain its competitiveness as an HQ location, Austria cannot rely exclusively on domestic HQs. Instead, Austria should implement strategies to retain existing international HQs and stimulate investments from foreign companies in Austria to attract additional international HQs.This report represents a follow-up study to our report on “Headquarters Landscape in Austria: International HQs” (2022). We deep dive into the international HQ landscape in Austria and describe its main characteristics. The result of the study are equally important for international firm managers who are considering Austria as a potential HQ location, and for policy-makers who aim at retaining existing international HQs in Austria, while attracting new ones

Biomedical and Human Factors Requirements for a Manned Earth Orbiting Station

This report is the result of a study conducted by Republic Aviation Corporation in conjunction with Spacelabs, Inc.,in a team effort in which Republic Aviation Corporation was prime contractor. In order to determine the realistic engineering design requirements associated with the medical and human factors problems of a manned space station, an interdisciplinary team of personnel from the Research and Space Divisions was organized. This team included engineers, physicians, physiologists, psychologists, and physicists. Recognizing that the value of the study is dependent upon medical judgments as well as more quantifiable factors (such as design parameters) a group of highly qualified medical consultants participated in working sessions to determine which medical measurements are required to meet the objectives of the study. In addition, various Life Sciences personnel from NASA (Headquarters, Langley, MSC) participated in monthly review sessions. The organization, team members, consultants, and some of the part-time contributors are shown in Figure 1. This final report embodies contributions from all of these participants

Report of the Second External Programme and Management Review of ICLARM

    Get PDF
Second External Program and Management Review (EPMR) of ICLARM, carried out between September 1998 and February 1999 by a panel chaired by Hans Gregersen. The document also contains an excerpt from the report of the CGIAR 1999 Mid Term Meeting, a transmittal from the TAC Chair and CGIAR Executive Secretary, TAC's commentary, ICLARM's response, and a transmittal from the review panel chair. The review panel recommended further development of ICLARM's tactical plan for Africa and West Asia, and the representation of other countries from the region on the staff at the regional headquarters in Egypt. It suggested use of external mechanisms for the review of all ICLARM research. The panel also suggested that ICLARM find an alternative to the ten year limit on staff tenure. The center should continue on the path it is on, and seek additional resources. TAC was encouraged to note a major effort at strategic planning. It hoped that ICLARM would undertake reviews of all of its research activities. The report was discussed at TAC 76, and considered by an ad hoc committee at the CGIAR Mid-Term Meeting in May 1999. The committee endorsed the panel recommendations, and its report was approved by the Group, including the decision to transfer ICLARM's headquarters to Malaysia
