NoThis report describes the work of Robertson Cooper Ltd and UMIST to identify good practice in stress prevention and then identify organisations within the UK that could be called beacons of excellence in comparison to this model. Part one of this report summarises and draws conclusions from all of the substantive academic studies on stress prevention over the last decade and uses this information, as well as advice gained from a panel of international experts, to develop a comprehensive stress prevention model. Part two of the report uses this model to describe examples of stress prevention practices that Robertson Cooper Ltd has identified within a wide range of UK organisations. Inventory management manually inhibit the performance of institutions.This research was aimed at developing a multimedia-based inventory information system program that can meet users\u27 specific needs. The information system program was developed on multimedia basis to produce output of inventory data in the form of 3D texts and visuals that are accessible online to multi users. The development research adopted the SLDC method. Initially, the program was developed using XAMPP as the local web server that includes Apache Web Server, PHP Script Language, MySQL Database, and phpMyAdmin Database Manager.Data were collected through observation, interviews and document study of educational institutions and public institutions. The program\u27s feasibility was tested by Stub Testing, Unit Testing, Black Box Testing, and White Box Testing, as well as Integration Testing. Its execution includes access modules with system login as the main access gate. The program database scheme includes (1) System Login, (2) Menu Manager,(3) Data Entry, (4) Circulation or Transaction, (5) Maintenance, and (6) Report. The information system model is capable of presenting information in the form of texts or images, and the data input uses the barcode system.The system provides access to a menu of top-down and bottom-up to facilitate the use and meet the specific needs and complete. Can We Really Prevent Suicide?

Every year, suicide is among the top 20 leading causes of death globally for all ages. Unfortunately, suicide is difficult to prevent, in large part because the prevalence of risk factors is high among the general population. In this review, clinical and psychological risk factors are examined and methods for suicide prevention are discussed. Prevention strategies found to be effective in suicide prevention include means restriction, responsible media coverage, and general public education, as well identification methods such as screening, gatekeeper training, and primary care physician education. Although the treatment for preventing suicide is difficult, follow-up that includes pharmacotherapy, psychotherapy, or both may be useful. Challenges in forecasting uncertain product demand in supply chain: A systematic literature review

Forecasting for uncertain product demand in supply chain is challenging and statistical models alone cannot overcome the challenges faced. Our overall objective is to explore the challenges faced in forecasting uncertain product demand and examine extant literature by synthesizing the results of studies that have empirically investigated this complex phenomenon. We performed a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) following the well-known guidelines of the evidence-based paradigm which resulted in selecting 66 empirical studies. Our results are presented into two categories of internal and external challenges: 24 of the 66 studies express internal challenges, whilst 13 studies report external challenges, and 8 studies cover both internal and external challenges. Operating profitability in branded pharmaceutical firms

A Work Project, presented as part of the requirements for the Award of a Masters Degree in Management from the NOVA – School of Business and EconomicsThis work project focuses in operating profitability of branded pharmaceuticals, measured by return on assets (ROA). It gives insights about key ROA drivers, by breaking down this ratio into gross sales margin, assets turnover and operating risk. Data from consolidated financial statements of 26 US- and European-based firms for the period 2007-2011 is used in univariate and bivariate analyses. Results suggested that firm size and country-membership do not significantly correlate with ROA. However, differences between branded pharmaceuticals’ regions are explored and significant correlations are found between operating profitability and strategic choices variables, namely product portfolio diversification, growth choices and investment
