Lähedaste retseptor-anioon seondumisafiinsuste eristamine TMR meetodil
Käesolevas töös mõõdeti sorbaadi, heksanoaadi ja naprokseeni aniooni seondumisafiinsused (logKass) 23 uurea, indooli, karbasooli ja indolokarbasooli fragmentidel põhinevatele sünteetilistele retseptoritele. Kokku määrati 69 absoluutset seondumiskonstanti. Igale anioonile koostati kooskõlalised seondumisskaalad, mis kombineeriti tuumamagnetresonants (TMR) spektromeetrilise tiitrimise teel mõõdetud suhtelistest seondumiskonstandidest (ΔlogKass) ja UV-Vis spektrofotomeetrilisel või TMR spektromeetrilisel tiitrimisel saadud absoluutsetest seondumiskonstandidest. Saadud tulemused näitavad väga head kooskõla erinevate ΔlogKass mõõtmiste vahel, mis on saavutatud tänu TMR meetodi väga kõrgele täpsusele. Seetõttu on käesolevas töös võimalik eristada seondumisafiinsusi, mis erinevad teineteisest vaid 0,05 logKass ühiku võrra

metanol/1-propanol/acetonitrilo (22 fracções molares) e metanol/formamida/acetonitrilo (22
refracção a 25.0 e 50.0 ºC e o volume molar a 25.00 ºC.
excesso relativas a algumas destas grandezas.
4-nitronisole, a N,N-dimetil-4-nitroanilina, e o 4-nitrofenol, todos determinados a 25 ºC, e ainda
molares no caso do 2-bromo-2-metilpropano e para 19 fracções molares nos casos do 2-iodo-
2-metilpropano, 3-bromo-3-etilpentano e 3-iodo-3-etilpentano.
The characterization of two ternary mixtures, methanol/1-propanol/acetonitrile (22 mole
fractions) and methanol/formamide/acetonitrile (22 mole fractions), along with their underlying
binary mixtures (72 mole fractions), in a total of 120 mole fractions, including the four pure
solvents, was achieved in this work. The main objective of this study was the modeling of the
solute (or substrate)-solvent-solvent interactions, along with the analysis of the degree of
structuring in these mixtures.
With this purpose, a set of macroscopic and microscopic parameters was experimentally
obtained. The macroscopic parameters included the refractive index, measured at 25.0 and
50.0 ºC and the molar volume, measured at 25.00 ºC. Properties derived from these, such as
the cohesive energy density, the internal pressure, the partial and apparent molar volumes, the
molar refraction, and also the excess properties of some of these quantities, were also
computed. The microscopic properties were obtained using the wavenumber of five
solvatochromic probes, namely, 4-nitroaniline, 4-nitronisole, N,N-dimethyl-4-nitroaniline, and 4-
nitrophenol, all determined at 25.0 ºC and of Reichardt’s betaine (30) measured at both 25.0
and 50.0 ºC. These values allowed in turn the determination of the Kamlet-Taft parameters *,
and . Conductivity experiments were also performed to determine rate constants for the
solvolysis of 4 halogenated substrates at 25.00 ºC, in a total of 120 mole fractions in the case of
2-bromo-2-methyl-propane and of 19 mole fractions for 2-iodo-2-methylpropane, 3-bromo-3-
ethylpentane and 3-iodo-3-ethylpentane.
Based on the solvation model of Bosch and Rosés, it was possible to establish a
preferential solvation order for all mixtures. The original model was further extended for the first
time to ternary mixtures. Correlation analysis was carried out using the multiparametric TAKA
equation, which was applied to the studied reactive processes, thus permitting the splitting of
the solvent effect in its various contributions, and the identification and quantification of the most
important interactions.
The results allowed a full characterization of the studied mixtures, particularly in what
regards microscopic interactions and structuring degree. The kinetic studies with 2-bromo-2-
methylpropane, showed for this substrate a large similarity between its behavior in pure and in
mixed solvents
692 A Unified Treatment of Solvent Properties
Principal component analysis (PCA) has been carried out with 40 solvent scales as variables, each having 40 data points for 40 solvents as objects. The first three components account for 74 % of the total variance. For 36 of the scales, an average of 88 % of the variance is described by the first three principal components. The solvents and the solvent scales are grouped according to the scores and loadings obtained from PCA treatment. This allows comparison of both solvent scales and characterization of individual solvents
