With the proliferation of modern mobile devices having the capability to interact each other and with the environment in a transparent manner, there is an increase in the development of those applications that are specifically designed for pervasive and ubiquitous environments. Those applications are able to provide a service of interest for the user that depends on context information, such as the user's position, his preferences, the capability of the device and its available resources. Services have to respond in a rational way in many different situations choosing the actions with the best expected result by the user, so making environment not only more connected and efficient, but smarter. Here we present a semantic framework that provides the technology for the development of intelligent, context aware services and their delivery in pervasive and ubiquitous environments

CYAD Investiga 2019-2020. Division of Sciences and Arts for Design

70 p谩ginas. Incluye ilustraciones, principalmente en color.Research in the Division of Sciences and Arts for Design is a fundamental activity for the generation of knowledge, support for teaching activities and attention to problems that occur in the University environment. The conditions of social distancing, established since March 2020, have affected the normal performance of academic activities. However, in most cases, the professors of our division have responded responsibly to the challenges we face as a society and have continued with the activities of teaching, research and preservation and dissemination of culture. As a mechanism for disseminating the research work carried out by teachers during 2019- 2020, through groups, areas and other organizational figures, this catalog of projects presents a synthesis of the different topics and processes to address relevant problems with a design perspective. Throughout the past four years, the CyAD Investiga catalog has been published, considering that it constitutes an instrument to encourage the dissemination of research within and outside the University. In addition, the project has been exhibited in physical form and on this occasion, in digital format through the internet. All these works are the result of the joint effort of teachers, and professors, groups, areas and department heads. I would like to acknowledge all of you and invite you to continue working with the conviction that the contributions of the Casa Abierta al Tiempo are of great importance to our country

A Semantic Framework for Delivery of Context-Aware Ubiquitous Services in Pervasive Environments

"Pervasive environments offer to software applications the possibility to interact with the reality in order to perceive the information surrounding the users and to adapt the environment itself, or to deliver context aware services that improve user's satisfaction. These services are able to respond in a rational way in many different situations choosing the actions with the best expected result, so making environment not just more connected and efficient, but smarter. In order to provide a pervasive environment with advanced smart capabilities services, we integrated those technologies that enable objects of the real world to become part of the Internet of Things. Besides semantic-based techniques have been used to dynamically and efficiently data processing, retrieval and delivery. Here we present a semantic framework that provides the technology for the development of intelligent, context aware services and their delivery in pervasive environments.

226 p谩ginas.
