Γνωστικές Προκαταλήψεις: Σκέψεις και ιδέες με βάση την προσέγγιση της Δυνητικής Λογικής

Το φαινόμενο των γνωστικών προκαταλήψεων παραμένει αρκετά σκοτεινό πεδίο της ανθρώπινης νόησης. Αρκετά πειράματα έχουν δείξει ότι κατά τη διαδικασία συμπερασμού είναι αρκετά συχνό φαινόμενο ένα έλλειμμα ορθολογικότητας και ταυτόχρονα μια τάση επιμονής στο σύνολο των παγιωμένων ατομικών πεποιθήσεων ανεξάρτητα από τα δεδομένα που είναι διαθέσιμα. Θα προσπαθήσουμε να προσεγγίσουμε τα φαινόμενα αυτά μέσα από τη θεωρία της Δυνητικής Λογικής χρησιμοποιώντας τις βασικές έννοιες των μέτρων δυνατότητας και αναγκαιότητας και διατυπώνοντας την υπόθεση ότι οι γνωστικές προκαταλήψεις έχουν έναν αυξημένο βαθμό βεβαιότητας έναντι της νέας πληροφορίας καθώς και ότι η αναθεώρηση πεποιθήσεων δεν είναι μια γραμμική διαδικασία, δεδομένου ότι στο εκάστοτε σύστημα πεποιθήσεων του υποκειμένου μπορούν περισσότερα από ένα γεγονότα να είναι ταυτόχρονα αληθή.Cognitive biases remain a dark field when studying the human mind. Many experiments over time indicate that during inference people tend to have a lack of rationality and at the same time persistence in prior beliefs regardless of the available data. We will try to approach these phenomena using the Possibilistic Logic theory and the main notions of necessity and possibility measures. We make a hypothesis that cognitive biases stand as preconditions with a certainty degree higher than the incoming information and that revising and changing beliefs is not a linear procedure, since in reality, more than one fact can be true at the same time

A crash course on generalized possibilistic logic

International audienceThis paper proposes a concise overview of the role of possibility theory in logical approaches to reasoning under uncertainty. It shows that three traditions of reasoning under or about uncertainty (set-functions, epistemic logic and three-valued logics) can be reconciled in the setting of possibility theory. We offer a brief presentation of basic possibilistic logic, and of its generalisation that comes close to a modal logic albeit with simpler more natural epistemic semantics. Past applications to various reasoning tasks are surveyed, and future lines of research are also outlined
