Resource Allocation in a MAC with and without security via Game Theoretic Learning

In this paper a KK-user fading multiple access channel with and without security constraints is studied. First we consider a F-MAC without the security constraints. Under the assumption of individual CSI of users, we propose the problem of power allocation as a stochastic game when the receiver sends an ACK or a NACK depending on whether it was able to decode the message or not. We have used Multiplicative weight no-regret algorithm to obtain a Coarse Correlated Equilibrium (CCE). Then we consider the case when the users can decode ACK/NACK of each other. In this scenario we provide an algorithm to maximize the weighted sum-utility of all the users and obtain a Pareto optimal point. PP is socially optimal but may be unfair to individual users. Next we consider the case where the users can cooperate with each other so as to disagree with the policy which will be unfair to individual user. We then obtain a Nash bargaining solution, which in addition to being Pareto optimal, is also fair to each user. Next we study a KK-user fading multiple access wiretap Channel with CSI of Eve available to the users. We use the previous algorithms to obtain a CCE, PP and a NBS. Next we consider the case where each user does not know the CSI of Eve but only its distribution. In that case we use secrecy outage as the criterion for the receiver to send an ACK or a NACK. Here also we use the previous algorithms to obtain a CCE, PP or a NBS. Finally we show that our algorithms can be extended to the case where a user can transmit at different rates. At the end we provide a few examples to compute different solutions and compare them under different CSI scenarios.Comment: 27 pages, 12 figures. The paper discusses the design and modeling of an integrate octagonal shaped inductor with silicon substrate. A validated equivalent electrical model of the integrated octagonal shaped spiral inductor is developed. The model is used to analyze and evaluate the quality factor and the inductance of the inductor structure proposed under different physical parameters setting. These include the number of turns, spacing between turns and the inner diameter. The simulation results show that an appropriate selection of physic a parameters can achieve an enhanced quality factor and improved inductance. PSIM simulator is used for the implementation of the integrated inductor in a micro buck converter. The simulation results demonstrate that our proposals are very promising approaches for the monolithic integration of DC-DC converters

MIMO relaying UAVs operating in public safety scenarios

Methods to implement communication in natural and humanmade disasters have been widely discussed in the scientific community. Scientists believe that unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) relays will play a critical role in 5G public safety communications (PSC) due to their technical superiority. They have several significant advantages: a high degree of mobility, flexibility, exceptional line of sight, and real-time adaptative planning. For instance, cell edge coverage could be extended using relay UAVs. This paper summarizes the sidelink evolution in the 3GPP standardization associated with the usage of the device to device (D2D) techniques that use long term evolution (LTE) communication systems, potential extensions for 5G, and a study on the impact of circular mobility on relay UAVs using the software network simulator 3 (NS3). In this simulation, the transmitted packet percentage was evaluated where the speed of the UAV for users was changed. This paper also examines the multi-input multi-output (MIMO) communication applied to drones and proposes a new trajectory to assist users experiencing unfortunate circumstances. The overall communication is highly dependent on the drone speed and the use of MIMO and suitable antennas may influence overall transmission between users and the UAVs relay. When the UAVs relaying speed was configured at 108 km/h the total transmission rate was reduced to 55% in the group with 6 users allocated to each drone.info:eu-repo/semantics/publishedVersio

Effect of correlated building blockages on the ergodic capacity of mmWave systems in urban scenarios

The millimeter waves (mmWave) bands, considered to support the forthcoming generation of mobile communications technologies, have a well-known vulnerability to blockages. Recentworks in the literature analyze the blockage probability considering independence or correlation among the blocking elements of the different links. In this letter, we characterize the effect of blockages and their correlation on the ergodic capacity. We carry out the analysis for urban scenarios, where the considered blocking elements are buildings that are primarily parallel to the streets. We also present numerical simulations based on actual building features of the city of Chicago to validate the obtained expressions. This work was supported by Agencia Estatal De Investigación, Ministerio De Ciencia e Innovación, MCIN / AEI / 10.13039/501100011033 through the Project ROUTE56 - PID2019-104945GB-I00.Peer ReviewedPostprint (author's final draft
