New electron source concept for single-shot sub-100 fs electron diffraction in the 100 keV range

We present a method for producing sub-100 fs electron bunches that are suitable for single-shot ultrafast electron diffraction experiments in the 100 keV energy range. A combination of analytical results and state-of-the-art numerical simulations show that it is possible to create 100 keV, 0.1 pC, 20 fs electron bunches with a spotsize smaller than 500 micron and a transverse coherence length of 3 nm, using established technologies in a table-top set-up. The system operates in the space-charge dominated regime to produce energy-correlated bunches that are recompressed by established radio-frequency techniques. With this approach we overcome the Coulomb expansion of the bunch, providing an entirely new ultrafast electron diffraction source concept

X-Ray sum frequency generation; direct imaging of ultrafast electron dynamics

X-ray diffraction from molecules in the ground state produces an image of their charge density, and time-resolved X-ray diffraction can thus monitor the motion of the nuclei. However, the density change of excited valence electrons upon optical excitation can barely be monitored with regular diffraction techniques due to the overwhelming background contribution of the core electrons. We present a nonlinear X-ray technique made possible by novel free electron laser sources, which provides a spatial electron density image of valence electron excitations. The technique, sum frequency generation carried out with a visible pump and a broadband X-ray diffraction pulse, yields snapshots of the transition charge densities, which represent the electron density variations upon optical excitation. The production of scholarly research continues to be one of the primary missions of the ILR School. During a typical academic year, ILR faculty members published or had accepted for publication over 25 books, edited volumes, and monographs, 170 articles and chapters in edited volumes, numerous book reviews. In addition, a large number of manuscripts were submitted for publication, presented at professional association meetings, or circulated in working paper form. Riwayat hidup KH. Muhammad AbduHah Maksum Jauhari, Kediri, Jawa Timur Tahun 1944 - 2003

KH. Muhammad Abdullah Maksum Jauhari adalah seorang tokoh masyarakut dan cucu pendiri Pondok Pesantren Lirboyo Kediri Jawa Timur Tahun 2003, ia adalah seorang ulama berpandangan luas dalam pencak silat. Dalam skripsi ini penulis mencoba melakukan pengkajian terhadap apa yang diperjuangkan KH. Muhammad Abdullah Maksum Jauhari sebagai tokoh pencak silat. Adapun rumusan masalah yang penulis ajukan dalam skripsi ini yaitu: Bagaimana riwayat hidup KH. Muhammad Abdullah Maksum Jauhari? Bagaimana pejuangan KH. Muhammad Abdullah Maksurn Jauhari? Adapun penulis menggunakan pendekatan sejarah dan sosiologi yang digunakan untuk menjelaskan faktor sosial yang mempengaruhi perjuangannya dalam mengayomi masyarakat. Dari hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan berkat perjuangan KH. Muhammad Abdullah Maksum Jauhari dalam pengembangan pencak silat, mempunyai pengaruh sangat besar bagi masyarakat sebagai tokoh yang ditaati dan juga diteladani

KH. Maksum Jauhari (1944– 2003) sejarah dan peran dalam Penumpasan PKI di Kediri

Penulisan skripsi ini disusun menggunakan metode penelitian sejarah yaitu: Heruistik(pengumpulan sumber), Verifikasi (kritik sumber), Interpretasi (penafsiran sumber), Historiografi (penulisan sejarah). Pendekatan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan sosiologis dan pendekatan biografi sertai teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah teori peranan. Dari hasil penelitian yang dilakukan dapat disimpulkan bahwa: 1) K.H Maksum Jauhari lahir pada 8 Agustus 1944 di desa Kanigoro, Kras, Kediri dan wafat pada 21 Januari 2003. Ia adalah pencetus berdirinya Pagar Nusa dan aktif dalam politik, serta menjadi komandan penumpasan PKI di Kediri. Dalam keseharian ia juga suka mengembangkan agrobisnisnya. 2) Gerakan PKI di Kediri mengalami perkembangan yang pesat hampir semua wilayah kediri dikuasai oleh orang-orang PKI bahkan dari segi pemerintahan juga.3) Kontribusi yang dilakukan K.H Maksum Jauhari yaitu menjadi komandan lapangan dalam penumpasan PKI di Kediri
