A Note on Computations of D-brane Superpotential

We develop some computational methods for the integrals over the 3-chains on the compact Calabi-Yau 3-folds that plays a prominent role in the analysis of the topological B-model in the context of the open mirror symmetry. We discuss such 3-chain integrals in two approaches. In the first approach, we provide a systematic algorithm to obtain the inhomogeneous Picard-Fuchs equations. In the second approach, we discuss the analytic continuation of the period integral to compute the 3-chain integral directly. Структурные изменения черепа за последнее тысячелетие (XI–XIX вв.) у сельского населения северной Беларуси

Исследованы серии черепов с территории северной Беларуси, представленные материалами курганных могильников XI–XIII вв., грунтовых могильников XIII–XVII вв., белорусского сельского кладбища конца XVIII–XIX вв. на территории д. Лукомль Чашникского района Витебской области. Анализ материала показал, что, как и в большинстве европейских стран, среди населения северной Беларуси в течение последнего тысячелетия происходили процессы брахикефализации черепа и грацилизации скелета в целом. В результате грацилизации сократилось большинство размеров мозгового и лицевого отделов черепа. Из-за увеличения поперечного диаметра череп приобрел вместо овальной формы округлые очертания. В серии из жальничных погребений наблюдается некоторое ослабление европеоидных черт, более отчетливо проявляющееся среди женщин в сельской серии XVIII–XIX вв. из Лукомля. Табл. – 2. Dimension-free tail inequalities for sums of random matrices

We derive exponential tail inequalities for sums of random matrices with no dependence on the explicit matrix dimensions. These are similar to the matrix versions of the Chernoff bound and Bernstein inequality except with the explicit matrix dimensions replaced by a trace quantity that can be small even when the dimension is large or infinite. Some applications to principal component analysis and approximate matrix multiplication are given to illustrate the utility of the new bounds
