Obcokulturowe antroponimy w przekładzie rosyjsko-polskim w kontekście indywidualnego podejścia tłumacza

The paper deals with the problem of rendering personal names from foreign cultures into Russian and Polish. An individual approach is required from the translator in every separate case because of the distinctions in the perception of these culturally-determined elements. There are many situations when the modification of standard translation procedures is required, particularly when the unit is used in an unusual function. Исследование посвящено определению лингвальных и дискурсивных особенностей тематической группы "Положения во время игры" в англоязычном концепте ШАХМАТЫ, которая представлена субконцептами ШАХ, МАТ, ПАТ. В статье проведен семантический и этимологический анализ указанных субконцептов, выделены их способы вербализации, когнитивные и ассоциативные признаки в словарях, которые далее активно метафоризируются в англоязычном художественном и публицистическом дискурсах.Дослідження присвячене визначенню лінгвальних та дискурсивних особливостей тематичної групи "Положення під час гри" в англомовному концепті ШАХИ, що презентується субконцептами ШАХ, МАТ, ПАТ. У статті проведено семантичний та етимологічний аналіз вказаних субконцептів, виокремлено їхні засоби вербалізації, когнітивні та асоціативні ознаки у словниках, яки надалі активно метафоризуються в англомовному художньому та публіцистичному дискурсах.The study focuses on the determination of lingual and discursive specifics of the thematic group 'Game situations' in the English language CHESS concept represented by the subconcepts CHECK, CHECKMATE, STALEMATE. The article contains a semantic and etymological analysis of the mentioned subconcepts, identifies their means of verbalization,cognitive and associative attributes in dictionaries, which are henceforth actively metaphorized in English fictional and publicistic discourses
